It says it is 14K gold but further in the description it does say "gold plated" which makes sense due to the price. This chain is what it says. Simple. There is nothing fancy about it. It's comfortable enough to wear although a little longer would probably have suited me better. I am not sure I will wear it all the time but I think it would be okay to. The clasp is decent enough to manage getting on and off. The quality seems okay for what it is and for $19.99. This is a snake style chain, and because of the width it could be for women or men, but I think it’s slightly more masculine in appearance. This design is really attractive and has a decent weight to it making it slightly more durable than other chains. It has a smooth feel that doesn’t snag in clothes or get caught in your hair, which mag not seem like a big deal until you’re dealing with it. Luckily this is a good quality piece of jewelry and there’s no rough edges. The chain comes in a nice two piece jewelry box and also has a jewelry dust bag, which helps preserve the life of the chain when you’re not wearing it. It makes a good gift with a lovely presentation. The only thing I don’t really care for is the yellow color of the gold, it’s more yellow than what I prefer.
