Yes you will need to swap your original hardware for 1/4 in longer, was a couple bucks at Lowes. And I had to have someone pushing on bracket from the opposite side of me to angle them inward a tiny bit to be able to screw in the lightbar. It was not a big deal. The wiring was simple also. Took me about an hour to install. But I had my original hardware soaking in Free All before I ever went to remove them lol. ... show more

As stated in other reviews, the A-Pillar brackets bow out at the top and create a space that is about 1 &1/2"-2" wider that the span of the light bar. I was able to force the top of the brackets closed to make the light bar fit, but it was a stretch. I also had to use a couple of fender washers that were not included to make it work, because the slots in the top of the mounting brackets were bigger than the mounting bolts that came with the light bar. It also included some L shaped brackets for different mounting options, but they are not useful if you use the A-Pillar brackets. You also cannot reuse the factory bolts that you take out of your Jeep, as they are about 1/4 too short (and have the wrong head) for use with the brackets. Overall I'm happy with it, but know you will have to make some slight changes and you will need to buy some hardware. ... show more

97 jeep tj, I hooked a ratchet strap to both hides after mounting both sides and tightened them until I could fit the light bar. My jeep is not a dd so the fact that it doesn’t fit perfect is not worth sending back. If you have a pavement princess spend the money for quality.

As stated by the other reviews, It's a GREAT light. extremely bright and the A-Pillars fit my 04 Wrangler X perfectly. The only issues are the hardware it comes with, and the switch. The hardware is simple, you'll just need to go to home depot, get some longer screws, and some washers. It mounts simply enough. The switch works, but it's kind of boring and doesn't go with the interior of my vehicle. Not an issue, it's basically just a 3-wire illuminated switch, so I grabbed one from Autozone and chopped the one it came with off. Works great now. Definitely worth the money. ... show more

The light does take in water, I recommend going over the light and sealing it yourself before installing. The brackets do not line up well, they are not symmetrical, with some love they were able to be installed but still the lightbar is slightly off by about a 1/2". You have to obtain your own hardware to install the brackets. I used stainless hardware from the local hardware store. The wiring is cheap, but does the job. I decided to run my own wire and switch when I went back through the wires to find water in the "conduit". I still use this light, works well and I do not regret the purchase despite the many faults. For less than $100 you get some basics, just be sure to have some skill and a few bucks for 6 bolts and a tube of silicone #1 or maybe some plastidip and basic wiring supplies. The light is bright, looks good, and we all know 87% of you are just mall crawlers that will never use them off road anyway :-) UPDATE: It's been nearly two years now since my purchase... about a year and a half installed. There are about 12 Less left working lol... and 3 of them flicker. ... show more

I bought this light bar, bracket, and wiring harness kit back in March and have had it installed on my Jeep ever since. For the price, I was skeptical about the quality of the kit but I was very surprised at how well it has functioned. Installation was extremely easy, the hardest part was taking out the old bolts. The brackets fit well and I really liked that it came with pads to go between the bracket and windshield frame. The wiring harness works like its supposed to and the switch is very easy to use. The light bar itself is extremely bright. When its on, I can't even tell that I have my high beams on. Its very nice for driving on back roads and looking for deer along the road because it throws out a ton of light. One of the biggest problems with inexpensive light bars is that they aren't water tight, however I've had my light bar on for 7 months now and it is completely dry inside. Finally, I really like the way it looks on the Jeep. ... show more

Bought this for a 2000 TJ Wrangler. Here's the bad. It didnt come with the correctly sized washers, longer screws, or connectors for the connection to the light bar. And, the switch has a light on it, so it's always drawing power (unless you pull the fuse while you aren't using the jeep). Here is the good. It looks great. I painted the mounts with Duplicolor and they turned out great. It's very bright and it does the job. The wiring harness is good and long enough to route through the firewall. And the harness is properly fused a few inches from the battery. Over all I'm happy with this even though I had to supply my own washers, screws, and connectors. ... show more

I was nervous that it was so cheap but it works well. I was annoyed the brackets don't fit flush all the way up the A pillar and annoyed it didn't come with replacement bolts as the factory ones are too short when the brackets are installed and annoyed that the brackets don't have a bumpout to make running the cable easier and annoyed there were no instructions. I'd have given it 3 stars, but once I got them working.. wow. Great light, I was very happy with them :) So far, the Jeep has been in several rain storms and no condensation buildup, whew. I've attached a photo where I stopped on a dark road and took a pic with my stock halogen headlights then took a pick with the Yitamotor LED bar turned on. ... show more
