    • Good option for the DIY'er
I was looking for an inexpensive, quality option for adding 12V LED lights to my fishing kayak. Based on a little research, these seem to be a match. I received the lights in several days, and I just tested one out using a 12V deep cell battery. It worked -- check. Next I pulled out a 700 lumen bike light I used just last night and compared the brightness with just one of these lights. The YITAMOTOR was significantly brighter as expected -- check. The light pattern is brighter in the center, so consider it a combo spot/flood light as opposed to a pure flood light. I expected that. The only drawback was the bracket, which was a good quarter inch wider than the light mount. When I tightened it down, though, it was easy enough to bend it in place and make it snug. No worries. Once I get it on the water I'll update my review if it fails or succeeds spectacularly. As of right now I'm a happy camper. I get nothing for my review.     • Advertised power is true.
What you have to know, 48W is power for both. I've measured, single lamp draws around 2.2A at 12 volts, which roughly equals to 24W output, so with two you will get 48 watts as advertised. The color is pure white, neither yellowish nor bluish, which I definitely like. Build quality is also great, rugged construction with thick wires, however, while being advertised as "flood" I would say it's light output is spot+flood - has relatively bright spot in center, and weaker but much wider flood area around. Anyways, I bought them for front porch illumination from 12V battery, which is being charged by solar panels, and they handle that task nicely. ... show more

    • Bright light, anti corrosion paint not well applied.
Very bright, should do a good job a replacement for a halogen light on my snow thrower. Paint job or powder coating on exterior of light not the best. Several spots flaked off when I pulled light out of box. I am going to have to keep an eye on the paint.

    • Short wire length
The lights are OK, my issue is that the electrical leads are short. My power source is approx. 12" away and I will have to splice a length of wire to reach it. Other LED lights I have purchased have had a much longer wire.
