🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The Yeti Rambler is a revered thermos primarily for its incredible insulation capabilities, with users noting its proficiency at maintaining temperatures for cold drinks throughout the day. Users also appreciate its design, specifically the wide mouth that makes it easy to insert ice and for drinking. Some users have reported subpar insulation for hot drinks and one instance of the bottle losing its ability to retain cold after prolonged use. However, such cases appear the exception and not the rule for the Yeti Rambler.

Pros

  • 👍 Excellent for keeping cold beverages cool
  • 👍 Wide mouth makes adding ice and drinking easy
  • 👍 Good size and fits comfortably in backpacks
  • 👍 Durable and can take falls/hits with minimal damage

Cons

  • 👎 Some reports of inconsistent performance with hot beverages
  • 👎 One case of the bottle not retaining cold after prolonged use
  • 👎 Might be uncomfortable for smaller hands due to its circumference

  • Nice
Color: Brick Red
After three year of intense used. Few falls, few hits. Till now the only bad thing is that the the bottle does not keep the cold. I dont now in hot case (never use for hot liquid). But the price (US$40.00) I expect that it never loses the cold.

  • love the wide mouth!
Color: Navy
I got this because I wanted a wide mouth vacuum insulated bottle to make it easier to put ice into and to get something large enough that I wasn't constantly refilling it without going extra large (32 oz) since those are a bit too big to carry in a side pocket of a computer backpack. This 26 oz size was perfect and the wide mouth makes putting ice in very easy. A side benefit of the wide mouth and the way the Yeti is constructed is it makes the lip of the mouth of the bottle very nice to drink from. It's very similar to drinking from a large pint glass. The edge is smooth and not thin or sharp. They designed it well. I only got the standard top, but it's nice that there are several other tops to choose from if I decide later that I want a straw, a cup or a chug top. And since it's Yeti, it's easy to find those tops from Amazon or REI or other resellers. Having this has really helped me curb my soda consumption. Having ice cold water at any time at my desk helps me to have a healthier tech lifestyle. The ice lasts all day, even with a refill from our RO water machine (slightly cooled water - not room temperature) ... show more

  • Top of the line at a great price
Color: Brick Red
Simply the best one on the market. I bought 2 26 oz Yeti Ramblers. One red for hot coffee and one blue for ice tea. They simply wont leak or spill even if you knock them flat over. This is the one you are looking for if you ever have had a serious spill in a bag, backpack, or simply knocked it over. Then take the next step and look at the extra top caps that Yeti makes. I bought the one that has the sipper top and then a sealer cap for my hot coffee. It works great on the 26 oz. Then I bought the top with the swivel spout for my iced tea. I realize this is a serious investment in two beverage holders but after trying several other brands I finally came back to the best hot or cold tumbler on the market today. Take a look at your options then get the YETI. Get the 26 oz it is perfect for a days use. ... show more

  • Check the seller and notice the size of the cup
Color: Brick Red
Some people report getting a fake YETI. Check the seller. This seems to be related to the color. YETI only sells 6 colors. There are 9 colors available on Amazon. The other 3 colors are sold by someone other than "YETI Authorized". Those could very well be fake. SIZE - I'm a woman with small hands. I wear a Small in gender-neutral gloves. This cup has a nearly 11-inch circumference. My hand reaches about halfway around it, making it uncomfortable to hold while drinking. I'll be downsizing to the 18-ounce bottle and giving this one to a family member. I ordered the brick red color and it's great. I was looking for something to take on vacation to keep frozen drinks cold on the beach. I tested a Tervis first and small ice cubes in the cup did not remain for more than an hour in a 73-degree office. The YETI had ice at the end of a 9-hour day in the same environment. I even placed it next to a cup warmer for a few hours. Anecdotally, I first saw a YETI cup at a family reunion. A cousin got a slushie on the way to the reunion. It was 95 degrees in July. After a few hours, she got her YETI cup out of the hot car and the slushie was THICKER than when she got it. That's what made me think of the YETI when I was looking for a beach cup for frozen drinks. ... show more

  • KEEPS MY SMOOTHIES ICE COLD
Color: Brick Red
I work in my garden every day and it gets mighty hot down here in south Florida. My wife blends me smoothies and puts it out on my patio so that I can take a swig whenever I want. The top closes very securely yet is very easy to open and close, even with gardening gloves on. My last swig is just as cold as my first one, hours apart in 88 - 90 degree weather. Best yet, this thing is super easy to clean. Because of the wide grooves on the screw on portions of the bottle and lid, just a quick rinse and wipe gets both the bottle and lid clean. More narrow grooves on other bottles frequently caught pulp and bits from smoothies that required more rubbing to get clean. I've yet to use this for hot beverages but for use with cold drinks, I highly recommend this. ... show more

  • The YETI Rambler is a great water bottle that should be given its due
Color: Stainless Steel
The YETI Rambler is a great water bottle that should be given its due. I wanted to give it five stars but gave it four because at this point I have no outdoor experience with it due to weather conditions. I tested its ability to preserve ice cubes and keep coffee hot but have had very limited experience with this bottle in nature. First I filled the bottle with ice cubes and screwed down the top. After 24 hours resting on a counter top in a heated home environment (room temperature about 73), the water bottle continued to be full of ice cubes that remained loose, and produced no water drops when inverted. To me, this is a perfect score for keeping things cold a reasonable period of time under moderate conditions. Then I poured hot coffee straight from my coffee maker at 200 degrees into the water bottle, put the cap on screwed tight and left it on the counter again for 24 hours. Twenty-two hours later temperature was only lukewarm and not so impressive but this was a poor test since I poured just one regular size mug filled with coffee measured at 200 degrees. I am thinking I should have filled the bottle with coffee but that felt like too much bother for my one-cup coffee maker. Conclusion: Ideal for keeping cold liquids cold for a long time but for hot liquids like coffee I expect same day useage of contents. ... show more

  • Yeti - yada - yada - yada!
Color: Brick Red
I have the 26 oz. I'd be happier if it kept coffee hot for the period Yeti advertises. I think Yeti has made themselves a sweet sucker deal - if you want to sip, you gotta buy an attachment. Yeti doesn't far exceed the performance of my Stanley thermos and for the money, Stanley has a handle and comes with a cup. Stanley looks like a man thermos - not a colorful cutie girlie thing. With Yeti - bring your own cup and hope the thing doesn't fall out your hands. The Yeti has one use - when I perk coffee, I can pour a cup and pour the rest into Yeti - Yeti keeps it hot until around 1. I'm a tradesman and expect tools to perform as marketed. Other than that - yada-yada-yada. ... show more
