For fitting purposes it's important to know there's no stretch, as it's a woven fabric. Which is good for summer, as woven fabrics are generally more breathable. The areas where this is a problem for me: there's a lining (the outer shell is pretty see through) that's not as roomy as the outer skirt. When I reach forward, the sleeves constrict quite a bit. My plan is to take out the lining and see if that gives me enough fabric to replace the sleeves with poofy long sleeves. I'll have to wear shorts underneath, which I hoped to avoid with this length of skirt but I can't go to work with my undergarments visible through it. Overall it's okay, just not ideal. ... show more

This is a pretty dress and seems to be good quality. The sizing needs some help. It is fitted at the top, but then flows out too big to the bottom from the waitline seam. I feel it needs to be tapered in under the sleeves down a little more. Very baggy and I am 5'6,160 and ordered a medium. The dress washed beautifully in cold water and hung to dry. I am stymied by the reviews saying how wonderful the cotton fabric is in this dress. Though all fabric content and care instructions are hidden on my tag, there's just no way my dress is made of cotton. The fabric feels and looks like polyester—shiny, heavy, and definitely not breathable. Wearing it in summer would make me hot and probably sweaty. That said, it's a beautiful dress. I have 2 of these, and they are beautifully crafted from the finest quality 100% cotton fabric. So so comfortable. It feels as if a top quality bedsheet was made into a fashionable dress.
