The media could not be loaded. I have my moms singer 301a and was looking for a bobbin case as the one on it was broken. The repair place I tried first said the replacements on line would not work. I read thru a few of the comments on various bobbin cases on amazon and this one had many that said it worked so figured I would give it a try. I replaced it watching a few “you tube” videos 🤗and I got it to sew! After 13 years of being idle it now works! I learned to sew on this machine growing up. My DIL bought a Feather Weight sewing machine that was missing the bobbin case. Replacements of original cases and others I found online were very expensive. I had the opportunity to test out this replacement case on three different FW machines. I have a FW older than myself, which means old...lol. It has the scroll, fancy face plate. The second one I own is much newer and has the straight groove design on the face plate, as does my DIL's. Long story short, when I tried the case on the older machine it did not fit no matter how much I fiddled with it. The upper thread simply would not pick up the bobbin thread. I had a theory that it might work on the newer machine. That made all the difference. The replacement bobbin case fit my newer FW machine and my DIL's machine perfectly and I even sewed a little 9 patch block with no problem just to be sure. So, for those that have had problems in the past with the replacement, it might be the age of the machine and not the bobbin case. Perhaps there was a slight change in the FW's bobbin case over a long period of time??? ... show more

I was skeptical because a lot of reviews for after market bobbin carriers don't work. I tried it because an original if you can find one is as much as a hundred dollars. This one came and was very well made and fit exactly like it should. I would recommend it.

This bobbin case works well in my 1952 Singer Featherweight 221 sewing machine. It sewed several layers of fabric perfectly out of the package, but I needed to tighten the bobbin tension slightly when sewing only a double layer of fabric. I am very happy with its performance.

At first I thought it did not fit. I fiddled with the latch and held it open and then it went in fine. You have to have the bobbin case going in the right direction which is opposite to some other brands of machine. When it was turned properly, it was just fine. I am very glad to have found this bobbin case. This came with 5 bobbins and they all are fine too. ... show more
