    • Sturdy and refined, but time consuming to build alone
Despite this desk taking me, a healthy 37 year old woman, four hours to put together, I adore it! It was simple enough to put together with nice pictured instructions, but it is heavy and took up quite a bit of space to assemble. At one point, I even laid across the top to get things to situate proper, so VERY sturdy. I was initially worried that the top three drawers didn't go all the way to the back and it was wasted space, but I find I'm not dissatisfied as I can use that space as a small secret nook now. One thing I could not find measurements of online and never received an answer from Amazon on is the width under the desk. It is 23.5" and is wonderful if you are a fidgety person who wiggles their legs a lot under their desk. Also decent amount of space for a small pedal machine. The printed on woodgrain is also very nicely done and is on the front and back of all pieces so when assembling, either side can face front or back on things like rear panels. The dual outlets with usb a and usb c are also very convenient even if the cord is shorter than I would prefer, only about 5 feet, clearly intended to be right up against a wall with nearby outlet to plug into. Overall, very nice desk for the price point, but be prepared to spend a good part of your day building it if doing so alone. ... show more

This Very Sturdy, Heavy, Farmhouse Style Desk looks Great. Be patient: This project took me 5-6 hours to Assemble. I meticulously aligned each adjoining panel to ensure a close to perfect fit. Mission Accomplished. DO NOT USE A POWER SCREWDRIVER OR DRILL to Assemble. Only 'torque' by hand with a Phillips Screwdriver. Otherwise, you WILL strip the screws. Fair Warning! Had some damaged panels [shipping damage] and Customer Service promptly replaced the parts. Thank You. On Hardwood or TILE Flooring: DO NOT PUT THE METAL PADS under the Base. Will crack and/or break Expensive Flooring. Inexpensive alternative: Place self-adhesive [cut to fit] felt sheets/pads under the base. Will be able to easily move/slide desk and protect the flooring. Once assembled: ample drawer storage and a good solid desktop. Very Sturdy ! ... show more

I put this desk together myself without any issues and I am in my 70s! I did take a while (about 5 hours) but it was well worth it! Directions were very clear and followed in good sequence in order for me to do this without assistance. Desk top is very heavy but was manageable for lifting alone. Poor packaging. Corners of desk present small chips. Portions of desk top where laminate glued is falling off/ not glued correctly. Construction needs to be done with more than one person. Not the best quality
