DO NOT BUY. Bought 3 rolls at the exact same time and THEY’RE 3 DIFFERENT SHADES OF BLACK. It looks like I tried to do a gradient look on my wall. It’s horrible. And of course can’t return it once it’s on the wall. Would absolutely not recommend.

I used it to cover the tiles that i didnt like in our fireplace made our fireplace look better. Also installation is very easy. Easy to peel off and reinstall just incase you made a mistake installing it.

This contact paper is easy to cut and place. I used it to cover unsightly scratches on a file cabinet. The textures black surface matches my desk and looks fantastic with the wood grain print of my cabinet. The thickness is just right to feel solid and to bend around sharp corners as well. I pressed the folded corners down with a credit card and it holds them nice and crisp. If you don’t get it lined up quite right you can peel it off and try again. I cut my pieces very slightly longer than needed and trimmed the excess in place with an exacto knife. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I’m incredibly happy with this product! So far I’ve used it to cover my desk (it had some minor surface damage like paint spatters and water rings) as well as a cheap cardboard box I’m using as a computer riser. It’s very easy and forgiving to apply- like a large sticker, but more repositionable. To avoid surface bubbles or wrinkles, I’d recommend applying it slowly and in sections (only peel an inch or two when you first apply), then smooth down as you go. I used the edge of a small smooth box to do this, but it could probably be done with a credit card or just fingers. I also included a photo of what the sections look like overlapping. Not too noticeable, but they might catch if you slide something across the surface? Since there was still a lot left on the roll, I tested small strips on my countertop, my refrigerator, and a painted wall, and they appear to be holding just fine so far, without any adhesive residue or damage when removed. My only issue has been where I hadn’t trimmed exactly to the edge on the desk, and my arm kept catching on it as I used my mouse. I trimmed and lightly sanded that edge and now it doesn’t catch at all. It has a few issues trying to be folded around a corner as well- flat pieces work, but it doesn’t stay folded well (like on my cardboard box) if you’re hoping to use it for an application that requires that. ... show more

I’ve spent I have no clue how much on these. I was too deep in to return or get something else.. I figured my best bet was to just keep going with purchasing more of the exact same item I keep buying. As you can see they’re all different in color. I have 2 Full walls now of inconsistency… some black some gray and some white stains / damage from the end of the rolls. I bought them in separate transactions because I was unsure of how much I wanted installed at first.. then when I saw it and liked it I ordered more and kept going but every time it was different when I made sure to select every option the same every single time. I really do not understand why they’re all so different if it should all be the exact same.. I wish I could get a refund but again I was in too deep and was not going to peel everything off….. ... show more

    • More trouble than it is worth - I'd rather just paint.

First of all, this stuff is not forgiving at all, and honestly probably requires a professional installer or someone with some experience. If you start putting a piece up, and need to make any adjustment at all, you're going to develop a crease in the material. Because the material is so thin, the creases are permanent. This in itself, is not a problem... because a skilled hand could likely get these put up on the wall without issue... however... Nearly every roll I received had either a noticeable dent, or damage to the edge. Sometimes you might not notice this until you've already started applying this to the wall, and by the time you see the rip or whatever... it's too late. You have to remove that section from the wall, risking damage to the remaining material on the roll. Long story short: I'd rather just paint my wall black and deal with having to repaint it later, than deal with trying to make this look good. ... show more

This peel and stick paper was perfect for my bedroom wall. May be easier to apply with two people. I installed it myself as an accent wall behind my bed. It adhered to the wall with no problem.     • Built in adhesive is useless, not tough, but easy to use

The built in adhesive is useless, it's pretty much post-it glue. I have no idea why you would ever want that level of stickiness on a surface. But you can just use contact cement to attach instead which actually works. It isn't very tough, dont expect a surface with it on to take significant abuse. The lack of toughness also means it can stretch during application, especially going over an edge. After one edge it is still tolerable, after a second there is zero chance of two sheets lining up right. All that said, it's easy to work with and cheap. Cut out a sheet a little larger than the surface, put down contact cement, roll it flat, trim down edges with a plain old pocket knife and boom. Pretty nice looking surface is done. The edges/corners are tricky, two sheets meeting on an edge won't look right on close inspection and you can't go over more than one edge due to the stretchiness of the material. But on a flat surface two sheets laid down next to each other (with the manufacturer edge) meet so flawlessly it takes active search to find them even when you know where they are. Definitely do some practice runs first when working with this stuff, it takes getting used to but is great for a cheap, utilitarian project. ... show more
