I disliked the fact that the batteries didn’t last. It’s very nice when batteries are fresh. Timer works great. There is no remote but it would be nice because the timer works for 6 hours and I’d like to use it for about 3 to save batteries

I like the look of these lanterns. They are beautiful and very well made! They are packaged with care💗! Dinning room table is solid oak, I like the table runner, so I went with white “ Ocean theme, we are scuba divers” Really sets the table beautifully. No remote, they are plastic, and I didn’t know they were plastic until I read reviews. Yes I was worried how they wood look, in my mind I was sending them back. Once I took one out, I really like the look & feel. I thought maybe they were metal so I had to tap on it to see they are plastic but they are beautiful and the glasses glass not acrylic. I am glad I looked at one and decided to keep them I’m very very happy with these lanterns. I bought three because our table is over 6 feet long without the two leafes. I am looking to make centerpieces for an event and came across this lantern, it is nice and a good height, The lantern itself is plastic but looks nice and not too cheap. My issue is with the glass panels, it came packed well and when I removed the lantern the glass had horrible streaks that made the glass look dirty and the light from the candle dull. The streaking could not be cleaned from the outside. I had to take the top off and each panel of glass is anchored with a small screw and a corner support which is good, so I took each panel out to clean. Windex did not remove the streaks I had to scrub them with SOS soap pads! The glass is sharp so I got cut on the first panel I cleaned and put on thick rubber gloves to do the rest. It really did not take long, but I was frustrated that I had to clean the glass in the first place. I am hoping that if our design idea works I do not have to go through cleaning the glass for each one. ... show more

These are great. Only one surprise difficulty - the batteries are tricky to insert. Each battery compartment must be unscrewed w/special, very small screwdriver. (Fortunately, they are provided).
