The quality of Xtratuf is unparalleled. There's a reason they are used on Alaskan fishing boats. They are comfortable, sturdy, warm, but not sweaty (thanks to the neoprene lining), and best of all waterproof. The color range is also nice. After buying some for my husband I also wanted a pair, though it's taken time for the hot pink / navy to be restocked in my size. I typically wear a size 8.5, which Xtratuf doesn't offer, so I ended up ordering both the size 8 and the size 9. The fit was completely different. The size 8 was more snug in the ankle, while the size 9 left my foot sloshing about in the back with a very loose ankle. I liked a looser ankle fit, which lends to slipping them on and off with ease, but I wanted something that wasn't going to be frustrating to wear over time. Ultimately I decided to keep the size 8. While I know they will not stretch, I will also not be wearing thick wool socks with them. ... show more

Was surprised to find a local artists design on a national product. We live in Homer Alaska and it seems we have to wear boots all the time…. Nice to have a pair that is easy on, easy off, ankle high AND the Salmon Sisters print/design. I have a different pair of these, had to buy these for my partner and she LOVES them !
