I’m using these for a break strength test rig, and they work really well. I’ve only gotten them up to 800Lbs, but I don’t doubt they could hit the rated 2,000 pounds. The pulley action is smooth and flows well, and is forgiving of a bit of lateral motion or twisting. The rope it comes with seems really long and fine for most uses… I had to cut about half off for this shorter rig. So it should be able to hit about 4 or 5 feet of lift. I’m very happy. ... show more

I got this to lift my dogs in a harness to trim their nails. The comments about the rope twisting were somewhat correct. The rope was twisted in the box. If I had to guess I would assuthat a human wound the rope but they had no idea what they were doing. If you have ever had to straighten out yarn during a crochet I did that starting near the pulley. If you have no idea what I am referring to, pinch the rope between your thumb and index finger near the pulley. Using your other hand gently pull the rope through your pinched fingers until you reach the end. I did this 2-3 times and did not experience a lot of twists during use. I did the pinch-method one more time after use. And wrapped the rope using the over-under wrap. So far so good. Seems well built but training is needed for whoever installs the rope ... show more

Average straps, very narrow. Was expecting wider straps because Of the 2,000lb capacity. However, the straps were very narrow. It doesn’t distribute the force across the load like wider straps. There was no width dimension noted for its 1” width. It does not “feel” strong but that’s just appearances. ... show more

Delivery was fast. The unit looks solid enough for the light duty work that I'm going to be putting it through. I had to knock off a star because I had to redo some of the line work for the ropes.     • Excellent pulley kit for stowing and easy accessing of equipment in your garage

Excellent pulley system kit. I initially purchased one to create a way to elevate my bike when not in use in my garage. I wanted something that contained all the pieces/hardware necessary to hang a bike, and make it easy to access on demand. This pulley system fits the bill. The blue straps wrap around most any bike’s handbar upright and seat post, creating a single point of contact with the pulley’s hook. The rope that is provided with the pulley is very long - long enough to allow the hanging of a bike to a 18 foot high ceiling with room to spare. The rope is also made of a material that is easy to tie down and handle. As for performance, the pulley allows for extremely easy raising and lowering of a bike (or similarly weighted object). It is effortless to raise and lower the bike. The hooks on either end of the pulley are large and of high quality. This kit is so good that I purchased two more; one to raise and stow a second bike and a third to stow my metal wheelbarrow which is only used occasionally. These pulleys have allowed me to clear space in my garage, provided simple access to the bikes & wheelbarrow when needed, are very easy to install and super nice to use. They even come with a pair of gloves to ensure that you don’t get rope burns when you raise & lower your equipment. I strongly recommend this product. ... show more
