  • Good quality
Item Package Quantity: 6 Size: 12"x12"
I bought these to line my chickens laying boxes and after removing them from the heavy plastic square they worked great. Nice clean laying boxes. Had they not worked for my intended project I would have hooked them together as the directions showed and used as an outdoor mat at the door.

  • Great product
Item Package Quantity: 6 Size: 12"x12"
This is the second time I purchase this item, lasted 6 months, also I bought the box (large size) and didn’t fit the 6 squares, however my dog loves it and is very useful if you live in an apartment

  • Looks quite real when combed with a rake
Item Package Quantity: 6 Size: 12"x12"
I like the turf because it really looks real. I do think the locking interface could be better. It works, but it works best if the area it is being used on is completely flat. We are using it at the bottom stair of the pool ladder to help people get debris off their feet before entering the pool. Because it is on the ground, the water can cause it to sink in a bit. It works decently where we have it and does what we want it to do, but it occasionally comes apart because the locking mechanism isn't super strong. If you are using it on a cement or brick surface of a patio where it abuts walls, it would be better for the locking mechanism and, in such an application, I can see how it would not come apart. Use a rake to fluff the grass and you won't see the seams between each section. ... show more

  • Does not work in real world.
Item Package Quantity: 9 Size: 12"x12"
Locking mechanism is flimsy, panels separate, any flex during assembly and multiple tiles come apart, not practical for real life.

  • Quite pleased! Dogs love them! (assembly tips below)
Item Package Quantity: 9 Size: 12"x12"
About a third of my backyard is taken up with a concrete slab - why? I don't know. It sucks. I guess it's there because someone who lived here prior didn't like street parking. My dogs and I hate it. I only recently had the idea to try to cover it up. I initially went with bamboo patio tiles and at some point found it lacking in umph - I wanted some color. And as we all know, they only make flooring materials in drab wood tones (gag). The idea of planting grass over it is wonderful, except I haven't had much luck. I think I would have to add a lot more soil and that would run off - since it would be higher than the rest of the yard. So, finally I resorted to fake grass, lol. I've never used this before, and ordering it kinda made me cringe. But, it's working out very well for us. The dogs love laying on it - unlike the real grass, they aren't surrounded by a bunch of bugs, as well as potential of laying in pee/poop, and it also stays drier than the real grass. I really thought I was putting this stuff down for me, because the concrete is an eyesore. Though, as it has obviously turned out - they really appreciate it. It was also fun to put together - a little tricky at first. I realized after doing a couple that it works best if you put them together upside down - that way it's easier to see what you are doing (so, turf side down), and after you push the pins into the slots, slide your hand underneath the seam and push up on the pin side of the seam with your other hand on top, pushing down on the slot side of the seam (it'll amke more sense once you start doing it), do this at each of the three pin/slot sections along each seam, and you will hear a pop after each one when correctly inserted. Initially, I was trying with turf side up, I wasn't able to see what I was doing, and even when I was sure I was pushing the pins into the slots - I still wasn't getting a good connection or hearing the pops - not until I followed the above, then it worked perfectly - and yeah, it was fun too. I had 3 boxes and it probably took me only 15 minutes or so (once I figured it out) to connect them all. Now, considering their popularity, I may even get more. The only thing that worried me was the faux grass turfs that seemed to be falling off during assembly. But, after putting a decent number together I realized these were really just clumps that didn't fit on the frame and so weren't secured. There were no "bald" spots or gaps once put together. I really do like these a lot! ... show more

  • Expensive, But Good for Small Decks and Balconies
Item Package Quantity: 6 Size: 12"x12"
These grass tiles are terrific, especially if used for small areas like balconies, lanai's, or small decks. They snapped together easily, and stay connected best if used on level, relatively hard ground. If you want to install them in an area like a section of yard, just make sure that the ground is level, compact, and has minimal flex. The more flexibility underneath the tiles, the more likely they are to come apart or disconnect. They are a bit pricey, but I've yet to find snap-together grass tiles that aren't somewhat expensive. These are about the same price as other grass tiles, so I assume there is a certain baseline cost to manufacturing them. The grass effect looks good, especially at a distance. It doesn't look exactly like real grass, but it looks significantly better than typical grass carpet, or the type of turf you would find at a miniature golf course for instance. Drainage is good, so this is especially hopeful if you're trying to build a small pet area for house training. I'm happy with them for what they are. I wouldn't use them for a large area, but for small areas, they actually look pretty cool and are much more practical than trying to plant real grass. ... show more
