I used to be a Levis guy. If I wasn't wearing 501s, I was wearing 505s. But they've been on a steep decline for several years. And I no longer trust their quality, fit or durability anymore. So I decided to try Wranglers, and I'm glad I did. Not only are they cheaper, but they fit well and seem well made. My only complaint would be they make too many different styles and are really hard to figure out which is which. These, 33 Extreme 20x seem to work. I also have some Retro something which are nice fitting as well with mor of a lower rise. Frankly, the way Amazon prices stuff, I start by looking at the price. I find ones in my size and check the price. I've bought some for $17 that are $45 in a slightly different shade of blue. They all look the same when you pull the tags off and wash them. And, what's really nice is most of them come with long inseams now. Gone are the days when I had to buy 34" length and hope they didn't shrink and look like high water pants. They even come in 38" or 40". You can roll them up for that James Dean Fifties look. So unless Levis gets their act together and starts making 501s with heavier denim and lower prices, I'll be wearing Wranglers.
