I was pleasantly surprised. I purchased size 34×29. Perfect fit waist and length. Decent price point. THE GOOD: Perfect fit through the waist and butt area. Straight leg true to size. The denim feels of good quality denim heavy and comfortable unlike current Levi,s 501. If you liked Levi,s 501, these Lee jeans now feel far superior to the Levi,s and a much better price point. If you love the way 501,s fit, these fit exactly the same except for no Button Fly. Levi's have apparently cheaped out their product 501,s and their price point at well over $60.00 is crazy. Plus, it was very difficult to find my size in Levi's. Lee had my size and was a perfect fit. THE BAD: Nothing bad to report. Just a note, there is minor shrinkage in waist and length. The waist shrunk less than 1/2 inch and stretched back to normal after 10 minutes of wear. The length only shrank about 1/4 inch. This is to be expected with cotton denim jeans. After buying the relaxed fit and only being wishing they weren't so baggy in the legs, I bought these "standard Fit" of the same thing and think they fit just right for me. As with the "relaxed fit", the fabric reminds me of my 20+ year old Levi jeans in durability, thickness and weight. The waist fit is 'right on' spec with my 35" waist. The inseam is only slightly snug for the man-parts with a little extra room. Cost is on par with my senior budget!     • A good alternative to "real" Wranglers

I needed some new jeans quickly and ordering from Wrangler they take a week to arrive. I searched here using the name of the Wranglers I've worn since, literally, 1998 - Wrangler Five Star Premium Denim Regular Fit Jean, and these came up. I was surprised to see dark rinse in 28" waist. "Regular" Wrangler stopped offering dark rinse in 28" waist several years ago. I figured these are Wrangler's second line, of somewhat lesser quality but good enough for my needs. These were actually a few dollars more. Still, I ordered 2 pair. I'm wearing one now. I'm trying not to allow the impression that this is a second line color my thoughts. They fit ok, seem to be well made, the color is good, the denim seems to be rougher but that's not a deal breaker. The rise seems to be a bit higher which I appreciate. They don't sit below my hip bone like the "real" Wranglers do. For many years the Wranglers sat between my navel and hip bone. That's my preferred fit. Now they sit below the hip bone and I've actually worn out belt loops from constantly using them to pull the pants back up. These sit right on my hip bone so maybe I won't have to fight them so much. I'd buy a couple of more pair of these but in the six days since I ordered the price has gone up $5. ... show more

    • Love these for riding my motorcycle

A few years ago, my wife bought me a pair of these jeans & I reluctantly wore them. Up to this time I was a Levi blue jeans guy. After just a day of wearing these black Wrangler jeans I decided these would become my daily wear. They are comfortable, and durable. My habit is to add two belt-mounted phone cases due to my need to have both an iPhone and an Android phone with me. (I offer IT support to users with both phone types and it is helpful to be able to illustrate in person setup.) The two phones and cases add weight to the belt of course, but wait - I have two other heavy things on my belt/belt loops! I also carry a Tabasco holster with a full bottle of Tabasco Scorpion hot sauce that accompanies me wherever I go. (Yes, it is used on everything I eat.) Finally, I carry a keychain with my Harley key/fob and my undercarriage LED lighting remote. Add all of these belt items up and the extra weight & subsequent strain on the belt loops is significant. These jeans have never failed me. They have been worn is some of the most severe weather conditions while riding cross country on my Harley. 110-degree heat, extreme cold & snow and fierce rainstorms. Not once have I had any structural problems like holes or torn seams or belt loops. They are very, very comfortable. I'm a big fellow at 6'1" and 275 lbs. so the pants get quite a workout. The nice dark black color does fade, mostly from washing I suspect. To test this out I asked my wife to take the new pair, (I now own 3 pairs for long motorcycle rides) and wash/dry them inside out. That did make a big difference in minimizing the fade. Suffice it to say that I rarely pull out my blue jeans anymore. The blue jeans are fine by the way, no issues to complain of. These Wranglers just fit me more comfortably and I've come to prefer the black color. ... show more

Excellent style and quality. Waist and size remain true after laundry. Paint legs are true “regular” fit. Light brown color is terrific for shirt matching. Terrific value.

Not quiet the same as the 5 star ones I used to get at Target. Fit tighter (who am I kidding, I'm getting wider), the pockets seem prone to sticking out. Just something vaguely off in their fit. Still a good price. They might break in eventually, like most jeans do.
