She is 4'11" and it was the week before homecoming so alterations were going to be necessary.. This dress arrived on time just 5 days before the event... I received many compliments on this dress, and it photographs beautifully. The material is not thin, and it has a little bit of weight to it. I’m 5’2” and wore 3.75” heels, purchased a small. Sometimes, I found myself stepping on it. It also kept me warm in cooler temps (60’s) at a evening reception. There is some stretch to it as well. It’s very comfortable to wear. It came wrinkled and I had to steam the dress. Note: Use a steamer, not a hot iron on steam. I accidentally touched the dress with the hot iron, and it melted the dress in a couple spots. It didn’t melt all the way through and with the front ruffle, it hid the spot I melted in the front. I hope I get a chance to wear it again. I purchased a beautiful pearl sash belt on black satin ribbon to wear but it was too dressy for this event. Another way to dress it up and change the look a little. ... show more

The teal color is exactly as pictured and the dress is very, very flattering. It is heavy enough so that the ruffles fall into place nicely. It's sexy because of the cut; with just enough leg showing. I purchased last minute for a wedding after shopping in stores looking for this color. It is perfect and I will be able to wear to many occasions, including black tie affairs, of which I have to attend 3-4 a month. I am 5/7, 160 pounds and typically wear a size 8. The cut I knew would be flattering on me bc I have shirts with that same cut. The dress is beautiful. Not sheer, great material, great stretch, color is perfect for fall event. Hugs my curves. I was going crazy trying on way more expensive dresses at Macy’s that just didn’t make me look like this dress. This dress fit like a glove. I would have preferred to get a size up bc my bust and hips were better suited for the larger size according to the size chart, though my waist is supposed to be for a smaller size. The bigger size wasn’t available. The dress has give though and it still looks good, better than good. For those trying to figure out the right size I’m 5’5”, 36DDD (42” bust), 34” waist, 47” hips. I cannot believe what a great dress this is for the price! Rocked it at a black tie event last night and got several compliments, including one woman who told me "I LOVE your dress, it's a real show stopper!" If only she knew... I'm 5/8" 155 lbs, ordered a Large which fit me very well. It IS a tight fitting style, but with a pair of Spanx, all was well. An XL might have been more comfortable around the waist, but I'm very small chested and was concerned about "air space" in the cups. Great buy. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I originally ordered this in green at the same time as another green long sleeve dress in for a winter wedding. I decided to keep the long sleeve dress for warmth, but I loved this style so much that I chose to re-order in a different color so I could wear it for another event. Y'all this dress is flattering and gorgeous no matter what, but I re-ordered in purple and the reviews that call it "deep purple" or "plum"...I disagree to say the least. The Green dress was a beautiful deep dark forest green and I loved the color. It was elegant and classy. I assumed based on that and other reviews that purple would be a deep rich purple. It is a true vibrant medium purple (think Queen Elizabeth purple). I am a purple girl but this is too much for me. I am afraid to keep ordering and returning different colors so I feel like I am probably going to re-order once more in basic black. If you are wearing this for a formal event I would stick to the darker colors: green, navy, black and burgundy unless you like vibrant. The purple, red, pink, and teal are definitely the more vibrant colors and they give the dress a more casual vibe in my opinion, so it depends on what you are buying it for. The material is soft and moderately stretchy but you will need appropriate undergarments because lumps and bumps will show without them. I followed the size chart and it was spot on. I am normally a size 4/6 but according to the chart I ordered medium and it fits perfectly. Love the dress, I just wish it was easier to see an accurate color representation online! ... show more
