Once I hung 3 of these reflective strips from tree limbs close to where a woodpecker had been punching holes in the wood of our house, the woodpecker disappeared...and hasn't been back. A very inexpensive solution to the problem. Highly recommended!

These actually worked for woodpeckers. BUT the first thing I had to do was cut off the elastic string used for suspending-very cheap and easily blown off nails. I used fishing line and used a fisherman't knot to secure them to my shed. I used 25 lb test which was difficult to work with but all I had. I would suggest 10 lb test. The good news is it does keep the woodpeckers away-at least in my case.

The media could not be loaded. So I bought these to keep the woodpeckers away from my hummingbird feeders and they literally don’t work. The woodpeckers literally hang off my hummingbird feeders all day every day. They don’t care about these at all, so I pretty much think these are a waste of money for that purpose

The reflective rods are nicely made and easy to install. They look pretty dangling from our blueberry bush. However, they did not deter the birds. The birds were not threatened at all my the sparkly rods. If you are looking for something pretty to decorate your blueberry bushes with, these are a great buy. But, if you are looking to deter birds, this will not work.

I rarely write reviews, but I have loved these and have been telling anyone who will listen about them. I live in a Boston in-town neighborhood with lots of trees and the houses are close together….I park my car underneath a tree, and this past Spring it was being absolutely inundated with bird p**p, to the point I was worried about my and my 5 year old sons health opening doors of the car. I almost bought the scare tape, but then discovered this product, and opted for it instead since its more aesthetically pleasing and looks like a decoration if anything. It completely solved my issue, there has not been a single splat on my car since I hung these in the tree, Im a 100% satisfied customer. Worth noting: the bands they arrive on are thin, but intentionally so… they allow the light material to twirl in the wind easily, improving its efficacy.

The Woodpecker Rods with Reflective Devices seemed like a promising solution for keeping woodpeckers away from my house, but unfortunately, they did not deliver as expected. Despite hanging all 12 reflective rods around the problem areas, the woodpeckers continued peaking as if the rods weren’t even there. While the reflective design adds a bit of visual appeal, especially on sunny days or as outdoor decorations, the rods' primary purpose of deterring birds didn’t work in my case. The rods are lightweight and easy to hang, which is convenient, but their ineffectiveness makes them a disappointing purchase. These might serve as a simple holiday accent if you’re looking for an outdoor decorative piece. ird deterrent, they fall short of expectations. It may be worth exploring other methods or deterrents if you're dealing with persistent woodpeckers, however, as a BS.
