I bought this to hold my father-in-law's ashes. We were looking for a nice place for him to "live" without paying a funeral parlor price for an urn. My father-in-law was a very simple man, and I know he would much prefer this simple box over a fancy vase style urn. We also bought an Army decal medallion to include on the front. It's very nice. The box itself is beautiful, exactly what is pictured….but I can’t get it open. It’s as though the screw is glued, it will not budge-even when using a drill. I cannot actually use this if I can’t get it open.

The title says it all. The box is nice, it will not fit all of the ashes from an adult in the box. It smells so awful and musty. It smells like a wet basement. I had to leave it outside for days and wipe it down with Pledge.
