Description

If there is, indeed, nothing lovelier than a tree, artist Bryan Nash Gill (1961–2013) showed us why. This fun memory game based on his bestselling book, Woodcut, offers fifty-two cards (twenty-six pairs) featuring distinctive woodcut prints nested in a handsome keepsake box. The arboreal rings come to life in exquisite detail to challenge your mind and beautify your table. Review "Bryan Nash Gill's woodcut prints showing the intricate interior life of trees star in this memory game." -Better Homes Gardens "If you find yourself forgetting exactly whom you need to buy gifts for, you'll want to get at least two of these memory games--including one for yourself….Test your memory against a friend, or alone." -New York Times "Little ones will love the challenge of pairing up the identical prints; adults will love the subtly drawn shapes, which are a welcome break from the typical toys' brazen primary colors." -Real Simple "This memory game is not only fun, it comes in a cute rustic box." -Country Living

Should I Buy It?

If you're looking for an engaging, beautiful, and educational memory game for players of all ages, this is a fantastic choice. Its broad appeal, detailed art, and quality make it an excellent addition to game nights and a meaningful gift. However, do consider the slight risk of production issues, like missing pieces, though such occurrences seem rare.

  • Good quality product
Good memory game for family, other mixed age groups. Semi-educational with attractive graphics. We started by using half the cards and built up to using full deck. Customize-ability is a great feature.

  • Highly recommend for family game night.
We played this game with people ranging from age 18 to age 75. Everyone enjoyed it. I originally ordered it because I wanted a family game that didn't involve hearing because we have a deaf family member. I think that younger children could easily play as well. We started out using only half of the sets in order to ease into it because it requires focus. It is engaging and the woodcuts themselves are intricate and beautiful. ... show more

  • Interesting
This is a beautiful version of the memory game so many of us grew up playing. It looks great in the box on the coffee table, so a nice housewarming gift too. The cards are sturdy and matte with a plain minimalist back. The prints themselves are natural and lovely to ponder as you work the game. One card was missing from the deck, so I did knock a star off, and in all fairness I have not reached out to the seller with all the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. ... show more

  • This is a challenging Memory game that's great!
This is a pretty challenging version of the memory game, and is great for families and for helping pattern recognition- for early on set alzheimer patients and older adults and KIDS who want to "tune up" their memory skills.

  • Missing a card
This set was missing one card. It says it has 26 six pairs but only came with 25 and one extra card with no match. Very disappointing.

  • Well received
Bought for my brothers wife whose a woodworker. Turns out she loved memory games as a kid and loved this! I saw reviews of missing pieces and happy to report that this order didn’t have them.

  • Not worth it!
Nice idea/concept, but poorly done. Poorly printed images, faded, washed out colors, cheap cardboard, poorly cut with bits ripped off. Was expecting quality, this is not it. Do not recommend!
