    • Super cute but scratchy skirt lining
I loved the quality of the costume. It fit and looked great however the inside lining of the skirt was a mesh material used to make the skirt “poofy” and it was very uncomfortable. I cut the mesh lining out and wore a long cami underneath so whatever mesh was left sewn onto the skirt wouldn’t scratch me. It’s really cool! I only wish I hadn’t sized up, I’m a size 11 and got an XL and it fits too big... but it’s okay, I am going to wear this for my sons birthday party and just wearing a black belt on my waist over the costume!! This was a perfect costume for me for Halloween with my son!! My son wanted to be Yoshi so I was Mario. This is was a really cute version of Mario so I read the reviews and bought it. I did read several times that people recommended going up a size, which is what I ended up doing since the back is closed up by Velcro. So I wear a jean size 14 and shirts usually a large, and I bought this costume in a XL. It ended up being a bit big on me in the whole chest area. I honestly could have of gone with a large size, but I wanted to play it safe just in case. Don't get me wrong, it did fit, was a bit long, but it looked amazing and perfect!! This is what my daughter wanted to be for Halloween so bad! We looked everywhere around where we live for one, and found that this was the best version, best quality and best price out of all options. This outfit actually fit really well! A little wrinkled but to be expected and easy to iron out. The back is attached by some cheap velcro circles, not a big deal considering it's basically just a Halloween costume just feels funny since the rest is such high quality. Only complaint is that the gloves were weird. I have small hands so they fit fine, but the thumbs were really small? Like imagine your thumb was higher up on your hand and was half an inch long. Had to fix it but that was the only complaint I have about it, weird gloves but the rest was top notch. ... show more

I don't know if I just have a long torso or this costume is very short on everyone. I'm 5'5-5'6 180 pounds. It was tight on my arms and had more than enough room in the belly. If my butt didn't hang out I would have kept it. At $45 it wasn't worth buying leggings go underneath.

I love it! I'm 5'11 and 140lb (normally a medium/small, or a size 6 in dresses and pants). It's DEFINITELY short, but it's adorable. The back is held together with velcro, and there's NO stretch to the skirt. I'm a size 6 but I still have hips, and this thing was NOT going on any way other than over my head. Once on, it fits VERY cute. There is a small lining of pettiskirt at the top of the inside to help it poof out, and it was just enough (I was worried about poofiness, lol). The hat is kind of plushy, very puffy and oversized. All in all, with a cute hairdo and some heels it will look awesome. Great buy! ... show more
