I bought this costume for my 2021 Halloween party. It arrived on-time and I wished I had opened it earlier because it smelled like a fishing boat. I opened it in horror. The costume itself was very nice but the plastic from the belt and the neck piece made everything smell. I had no choice but to wear it since it was my Only costume and I did everything in my power to cover up the smell with perfume. It was even more embarrassing when the DJ came over to me and said, “only because I like you I’ll tell you this. You need to go febreeze.” He is as there when I first opened the bag and complained about the smell. So basically. I was the sexiest smelly lady in the place but no one could stand near me too long. So definitely purchase it, but make sure you place it in the washer in a garnet bag and wash it first. Then hang it to dry. I did that AFTER the party and it smells totally fine now. I don’t know what to tell you about the jeweled neck part or the belt (those still stink) but hey, at least you can just toss those. Oh and the cape Velcro’s to the shoulder straps. It took me awhile to figure that out.

The overlay gold mesh is very flattering on the stomach. I ordered a XL and the belt did not fit. I went salsa dancing and was well supported without a bra, no issues. I would have given it 5 stars if the cape wasn't defective, it didn't have the stretchy bracelet on both sides so I just tied it to another bracelet I bought separately. I am 5'9", 38DD generally wear XL tops and XXL bottoms.

It’s very comfortable but the Velcro snags everything. I have a big stomach so I had to put my belt underneath my breast because it is the smallest part of my body.

It's about the 10th costume I purchased, and this one fits the best. I need this for a Halloween cruise, so didn't want anything too bulky. Yes, the collar is strange, but I'll find something at the fabric store to make it a full collar, and purchase some stretchy trim to replace the cheap bands on the wrist bands of the cape. I'm sure I can do something with the cheap belt too, but overall it's true to size & has a flattering fit, and I like that it's low-cut. It's just sad that it's the best looking costume on me, and yet I still need to invest some more $$ to make it look better. I'd rather spend a little more originally and not have to go to so much trouble & spend more money to improve it.

The only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is because I thought it was a bit short. I’m 5’10 and the bottom of the dress was at the top of my ankles. (I know I’m wearing heels but even without them) But The product itself was great. Perfectly packaged. And nice detailing to the beaded collar.
