These boots easily fit my PowerStep Pinnacle Maxx Orthotic Insoles. I bought them in my usual shoe size and I am happy with the fit. They are roomy in the toe box. The boots are water repellant and have held up well in rain and light snow. I can comfortably wear these boots all day. They keep my feet warm outdoors but they are not too heavy or warm to wear indoors. I was happy to find a stylish, water repellant boot at a great price that fits my orthotic insoles so well. I like the black color so I can dress them up or down. Other than some small scuff marks by the big toe, they look nearly new after almost a full season of daily wear. I purchased this boot because the description said it had a wide toe box. It does not. My toes felt pinched and I returned the boots.

    • Slippery soles, weird arch support placement
These have really poor traction. In the entry way to my apartment these were sliding quite easily on the imitation wood flooring. My rubber sole boots do not have this issue. I don’t think EVA foam is a good idea for these shoe soles. In addition, while they fit fine, the arch support felt more like it was in the middle of my foot rather than where my arch is (towards the inner side). Kind of weird, and I don’t think this will work long term for comfort or practicality if the grip isn’t there. Took a gamble with the low price, and it’s pretty clear what the tradeoffs are. It’s not just that the material choices are cheap - I did expect that for the outside materials, but the sole isn’t made out if anything grippy. Will be returning. ... show more

I took a chance on these boots with no reviews. I was not disappointed. I wanted plain ankle boots that had arch support and a wide toe box for natural toe splay. These boots were the only ones that i could find that checked all the boxes. They do have really good arch support and are really comfortable and my toes can splay as they're supposed to. The water resistance is a really nice bonus but i haven't tested their resistance yet. I use these for hiking. They work well. They are for men or for women so they were a bit wide. Men's feet are usually a bit bulkier so that was no surprise. I like it a bit roomy. It doesn't cause any discomfort. I love that they come with extra padding as a spacer just in case you need it if your feet aren't so wide. Mine aren't so i added that. That still left room in there but thats just a nice option to have. They're really nice shoes and i love them ... show more
