gorgeous silhouette that made me feel very feminine, the fabric does feel cheap but it was soft on my skin and hugged my body. also i liked how i didn’t have to iron and there was barely any wrinkles (i packed this in a suitcase)!

Really pleased with the cut of this dress. It definitely hugs all the right places. The fabric is heavy and nice, without feeling stiff. It flows as you walk. It’s also the perfect length for me. I don’t step on it; it sits just above the floor so it doesn’t drag and looks really elegant. It’s also a no zipper dress, just stretchy so it’s really comfortable. For sizing reference: I’m 5’5, 115lbs, 32DD and the XS fits perfectly. I would say the only place that could be improved is the corset back is a little bulky; I know why they did it, though. It will withstand use better than something more visually delicate. It doesn’t detract from my overall impression of the dress. ... show more

My biggest complaint about this dress is that it does not commit to the bit. What KIND of a dress is it? Is it formal? Is it casual? The length, the asymmetrical ruching, the corset style back - those all read formal, special occasion. The jersey fabric and the thin straps with adjustable sliders both say “casual”. The 5-star portion of the dress is the design that creates the overall silhouette: fitted top bodice with a memorable neckline and corset back, the asymmetrical hip that leads to a flowy skirt. The 3-star portion is the actual execution/manufacture. The fabric is soft and cool with a good sheen, and would be great in a lot of garments, but it is too thin and clingy for a formal dress. While it does mostly function OK, it makes the dress look inexpensive and this just doesn’t match the silhouette. The bust area provides no support or shaping, so plan on having an appropriate strapless bra or going with a very natural “leave nothing to the imagination” look. Thankfully, the back is pretty high, so my basic strapless bra worked. The dress is great for showing off a nice back, but then those straps having sliders on them is really confusing - is it an evening dress or a tank top? I really don’t know how to feel about this one… you have to hit just the right level of wanting to be dressy, but not too dressy, for this to be the perfect choice. This would fit nicely with some cocktail attire weddings, especially for younger people, but I can also see weddings where this just would not feel right. It might be good for something like a work affiliated ball that you aren’t taking too seriously and don’t want to spend a bunch of money on? I will give this dress two compliments to end this. One - if you do find the perfect occasion for it, you will be very comfortable. Because it’s jersey and super stretchy and soft. So, if that’s a priority, this might be very enticing. Another big win - even out of the package, it was not terribly wrinkled. You can see in my photos that there are some visible wrinkles, but if I absolutely had to pack my dress into a small suitcase to fly to an event and this was the worst it could look when I unpacked it - that would be a meaningful difference to me. Not everyone has the chance to steam something when they get to their destination. ... show more

This is absolutely stunning! I did order up as I was not sure how the fit would be. The back criss-cross and lace up are very elegant and the rouching at the waste is very tummy slimming. This dress just touches the floor on me and it is so flowy. I don’t think it would look as elegant or stunning in any color other than black. This gown is a steal!!! I’d love to see it in satin, but the material still looks nice . This is perfect for black tie or fancy gallas. You will never find a gown of this quality at this price. The gown is my favorite I’ve ever owned. The price just has me shaking my head. This is a stunner and a head turner. Highly recommend. I would give more stars if that was an option. This dress is a quick favorite. The thing I love the most is the placement of the ruching because it hits my hip and leg in the right spot so it does not curve around my leg tightly and leave me looking like a lollipop (big bottom stick legs!). The lines of the dress are so pretty and the ruching across the hip and belly make it very forgiving. The fabric is thin and’s there’s no lining or padding so pasties or a bra are necessary if you don’t want to nip. The adjustment in the back is nice.
