I tried roller skating years ago when my friends decided to go to a roller skating rink on a whim and had no idea what I was doing. I tried though and failed lots. 😂 I decided it was time to try again but this time with my own roller skates and a bit more knowledge. I've been watching lots of roller skating videos on my free time to understand the components and what it takes to really start. I'm gonna be honest. I'm a slow learner but I'm determined to learn properly this time around. After watching a ton of roller skating videos on YouTube I decided to get my roller skates softer wheels (78A) and new bearings, which you can see pictured in my attached images. I learned quickly that the wheels that come with these roller skates are more for indoor roller skating so I went ahead and bought the lime green wheels you see in my pics to practice outside and hopefully have a better chance at succeeding to learn. I'm still learning, not gonna lie, but after practicing for days with these skates I do think they're perfect for beginners because they're affordable. They're also very sturdy. I am a 200+ pound woman and these roller skates have had no issue holding up my big bones, so that says lots about these skates. 😉 These roller skates are also almost perfect out of the box. Why do I say that? Because you shouldn't use them as they come. Use the included tool to loosen the bearings and make sure the wheels spin good and that they aren't too Ioose or too tight before you start roller skating. Once you've gotten them spinning just right, you should be good to go. You don't have to buy wheels like I did. I just did that in hopes I can learn better with softer wheels, which are intended for outdoors. The wheels that come with the roller skates are more hybrid wheels which can be used indoor and outdoors but are a bit harder than the wheels I bought. But like I said, this isn't a necessary expense. You can practice with the wheels that came with the roller skates and be just fine. Now that aside, I feel the roller skates are pretty true to size. I went with size 44 because I tend to be a 10 or 11 in women's boots and sneakers depending on the brand so I went with the 44 just in case and it was perfect. Not too tight, not too lose. Overall, I am happy with my roller skates and hope I can finally learn to roller skate so I can upgrade to some cuter roller skates. 🤞 If I succeed, cool, if not, at least I tried. 🤷♀️ So if you're like me and just wanting to learn but are not sure if you'll be able to, I honestly believe these are the perfect roller skates to start with. They are budget friendly and cruelty free, so it's a win-win. 😉 ... show more

Apparently roller skating has become the latest trend and my 30-something year old friend decided to have her birthday party at a roller rink, so I wanted to buy my own skates versus renting. I figure this way I can have my own pair in case I decide to take up roller skating like the rest of the world. I like this pair because they’re black instead of white so that you can’t see scuffs and dirt easily. For a beginner pair, I wanted something subtle and nothing too flashy so this is perfect. This is made of PU (polyutherane) leather that’s soft and flexible. Out of the box, I did notice that the material had a cigar-like smell which was pretty strong and unpleasant, but eventually went away after airing out. As an added bonus, the wheels light up as I skate on them which is pretty cool! This is a big hit with the little kids and they’re amazed and in awe when the wheels light up. I am a size 7.5-8 in women’s foot size and I purchased the size 39-US: 7.5 based on the size options. These are true to size and fit perfectly! The width fits nicely and are extremely comfortable. This has a cushioned ankle collar for maximum comfort. I was a little worried about these hurting, not being able to try them on first before purchasing but they fit great and my feet don’t hurt. Sizing is true to sizing chart. The roller skates move smoothly even outdoors where I have been mostly been riding them. The shoe material is soft and comfortable, but my absolute favorite feature is that the wheels light up!

I ordered these as my starter pair of roller skates to ride around the park in. They are super comfortable, the sizing is very accurate. The glow wheels are also a cute touch to the skates. Overall I’m super happy with the quality of the product for the price I paid. Would definitely recommend them.
