I wanted a simple pair of sneakers such as this one for around the house. The pair I’ve been wearing is quite worn and ready to be retired. I wouldn’t recommend these for extended outside wear if you have foot problems as canvas doesn’t offer up a lot of support. Instead of wearing slippers around the house, I opt for sneakers. I had a nasty fall with slippers a couple years ago as I didn’t notice the soles had worn. The soles on these sneakers are quite good and the tread gives me that no-slip grip I need. I have multi-surface home, meaning I have everything from hardwood, softwood, ceramic, and laminate floors. I also have stairs and I need a decent tread. The look is fabulous and these remind me of Converse sneakers. The colorful design on the side and collar of the sneaker really makes them look sharp. Love that! There are a couple of eyelets on the inner midsole portion that make the sneakers breathable. The toebox protects my toes from stubbing and looks retro cool. The sneakers are true to size. I always order a half size up as I tend to wear heavy wool socks year-round. These canvas sneakers are super comfortable and I’m finally going to put up the other ones as they are a bit too worn. Cute, but fit a little narrow making them hard to wear for more than an hour

Depending on the brand, I can fit in any shoe between an 8 and 9.5. I ordered these in a nine, and they fit very nicely. The sole is a very thick rubber, so there isn't much flexibility to the bottom of the shoe right now, and it will take some time to break them in. If you wear them with no-shoe socks, you will almost definitely get some new shoe blisters on your Achilles. The rainbow stitching on the side is nice and doesn't look cheap or sloppy, and pops against the black. They were in perfect condition upon opening.

I ordered these in a size 9 for my daughter. When they arrived, my wife tried them on who typically wears a 10 and she said they still felt a little big. When my daughter tried them on, she said she thought they might be a little big, but at the same time, thought they felt like her other shoes. She is so helpful... She was wearing them a little while later though and seemed to really like them. In fact, they have become her go to casual shoes for the time being. A few days after wearing them around for a while, she asked if I had already written the review. I responded with a "not yet" and she said she really liked them. From a dad perspective, I looked at the quality of the shoe and it seems like it will hold up pretty well. I've bought some pretty cheap shoes before that have almost fallen apart on the second outing and these look like they will be much better. They obviously won't last forever, but I suspect they will be just fine. If they fall apart a week after I post this, I'll come back and let you know. Until that point, they've earned a full five stars from our family. Just know they might feel (and be) a little big.
