2024-01-02. Basic long sleeve crop top by DSPSAM. Casual. Slim fitted. Black. Height: 5'3" (160cm) Shoulder:14" (37cm) Waist: 24" (61cm) Bust: 32" (81cm) Torso Length (nape to hip): 16" (40.5cm) Size ordered: XS I'm a smaller person with an average build, and I ordered an extra small based the size chart of the last image the seller loaded. I completely ignored the size chart link as that pulled up sizing for a completely different top. The top was true to size for the most part and sat nicely on me. It felt fitted but not at all tight (not stretched anywhere). The length was a little long for me for a crop top, but I kind of expected that. A little mid-rift showed, but just a little, much less than the pictured model. The top is quite sheer (thin), but not surprising considering it's 92% Rayon and 8% Spandex. To not be disappointed with sizing for this top, you need to understand what these two materials are and how they wear. Rayon is a semi-synthetic fiber. It's made mainly from regenerated cellulose derived from wood pulp. Being a semi-synthetic fiber, Rayon shares qualities found in both cotton and polyester. Most notable is that Rayon is moisture wicking, breathable, and retains heat making it a great fabric to be used with sportswear and warmer weather. Rayon is also a sheer fabric, and it's lighter weight allows for it to drape on the body much better than polyester does. On the other hand, Rayon loses much of it's strength in water and is susceptible to shirking in the dryer. Rayon is an environmentally sustainable fabric that is relatively cheap to produce making it ideal for trend-clothing. Spandex is also known as elastane or Lycra. It's a synthetic fiber that is known for its 4-way stretch capability giving clothing the ultimate flexibility, literally! The remarkable stretching ability of Spandex makes it an ideal choice for form fitting clothing, activewear, dancewear, and sportswear. Spandex's ability to move with you while performing dynamic movements results in unparalleled comfort. The Spandex ratio. Obviously the percentage of Spandex in a garment will influence how comfortable that garment will feel. A 5%-10% Spandex content is enough to provide a moderate amount of stretch in a fabric, and this is where most blended garments are. This top by DSPSAM is the sum of all things noted above. With a 92% Rayon, 8% Spandex composition, it's lightweight, stretchy, and sheer. For this reason, you should ensure that you get a size closer to your actual measurements. Going smaller and using the stretch properties of the Spandex will definitely make you look more "flattering", but keep in mind that will also increase the fabrics sheerness and will most likely reveal to others what is underneath (at least the colors anyways.) It's fine if that's the look you're going for (flattering), but if not, then get something closer to your actual measurements (base it on the bust size.) Maintenance. While perfectly designed for seasonal trend-wear (to be discarded or donated after a single season), if you're looking to have this around for a two or even three seasons, washing in cold water and tumbling dry on low would be best. I threw it in the wash with my dark load (warm wash, cold rinse) followed by a regular dryer cycle and the garment came out just fine, no shrinkage, no pilling, and no ironing required. Overall, a decent scoop neck top that runs a little long on me for a crop top, but it's still cute enough for everyday wear.

This top is pretty much exactly what it is described to be. A long sleeve, crop top with a wide neck. As you can see in my photos, this definitely exposes a good bit of your midriff; while at the same time covering your arms all the way to the wrists. The white material of mine is somewhat sheer; i.e., you can see the rough outline of darker undergarments you wear with the shirt. It is also very soft and very breathable. This is absolutely a shirt you will be able to stretch and sweat in comfortably. If you like showing off you abs, you could certainly wear this top on its own. It would also be nice pared with overalls, a sari, or high waisted yoga pant. I would recommend this shirt if the cut is what you are looking for; as the material and quality are nice, while the combination of long sleeve with a crop cut is a bit different and will only appeal to certain people, to wear for select activities.
