As a reference, I am 5'4 and 250lbs, and I typically wear an XL size. I ordered the XL size of this product, and while it fit well in terms of width, it was unfortunately too short for my liking. The material used is thick and comfortable, but I felt that I would have to constantly pull it down to maintain coverage, which would have been inconvenient. I ordered this for a weekend trip with the hubby and it did not disappoint. The quality is great, the fit(i am 160lbs, 5’2” curvy) and the medium:large is great. I can wear it loose for a casual outing or tighten the sides for a fitted effortlessly sexy look. The straps are easy to put on (think shoelaces).
