This car glass repair liquid works exceptionally well. It’s easy to use, and small cracks are quickly repaired with almost no visible marks. The instructions that come with this are not good. There are several video's on Youtube, search on windshield repair kit. A couple of the videos do a much better job showing you how to use it. I tried to post a video that I think is well done but Amazon won't let you post URL links in reviews. To be honest, I went back and found one that tests multiple products. Next time, I will try the Rain X option

I was fooled by the good reviews. This product had better reviews than all the others but I think people who gave the reviews don't understand how the product is supposed to work. I would have switched to another product but it was too late since I had put the resin into the tube and tried the plunger, which had likely introduced the resin to the chip at that point. The main problem with the product is that the resin piston tube is not really a sealed piston mechanism. Its whole purpose is to force the resin into the chip/crack. But it produces zero pressure. They say if you plunge too hard the resin may squeeze out from the bottom. No way. I put in a whole bottle and loosen the bottom and it still does not come out of bottom. You can feel zero pressure or vacuum at the end when you close it with your finger and screw piston in and out. Also, the opening at the end of the plunger is too small 1mm or so. The chip I had was about 1/16 inch and it did not even cover that (not that it would have worked since there is no pressure as I said above) So, the whole piston mechanism becomes is useless in this product. The only thing worthwhile is the resin. I put a few drops and put the film on it, so it covered up some of the tiny emanating cracks, that is about it. I'm not confident on the resin quality either, after seeing the mechanism. AS decade ago I had used another product that used the syringe/plunger mechanism and I remember it was putting out some actual pressure. The mechanism looked similar to others, so I assumed it is the same/standard, but it may actually work in some other product if it is produced with tighter tolerances and quality. So, I'd say try some other product.

I'm handy and I had to find a Rainex 'similar' product video to try and figure this one out. My chip was also dead center and bottom of my trucks window which made it had to reach and line up. At the end of the day I am not paying $169 to one of the 'come to you' chip repair services, so it's a win.

Although not as powerful as the ads shows, the rest of the kit is sort of fine. The bad design is the metal scraper. It's made of a cardboard wrapped with a metal sheet, and it's very flimsy. The corner with very pointy and sharp, and slightly bent. So when I was scraping the residue, the pointy corner left many tiny scratches on the windshield. Just use a normal scraper if you have one. Do not use the one in the kit.

Product worked fine but it came missing a bottle of residue. Also out of the 3 bottles I had none of the tips worked, they were all clogged. I ended up having to just take the cap off and pour which caused some issues. Instructions are also not the best but okay.

I tried this product. I gave up, since the instructions said that the crack would disappear if you repeatedly forced fluid into crack, but it didn’t change on appearance. I went to a professional. Had to sign a waiver saying I understood that the crack world not disappear and that I understood I was only buying time to replace the windshield. Crack looks about the same after the pro supposedly “repaired”it. Don’t know how to rate this product, given the info & result of pro shop/ “repair.”
