    • A Dough-Kneader's Best Friend!
I don't like the idea of using my countertop for kneading dough. So, I tried a large silicone Silpat (the genuine DeMarle one). Even while using flour on the Silpat the dough would often stick to it. The Silpat would often rise off the counter as I'd pick up the dough! Plus, the Silpat is kept rolled up in our cabinet, and doesn't want to lie flat on the counter after being unrolled! I searched Amazon for a large cutting board to solve the problem. I'm so glad I found this excellent Winco board. I believe it's made of nylon. As a result, it's virtually non-stick. The surface has a fine texture, so it'll hold the flour I dust onto the board very well. And, it's got plenty of heft. The dough wont be lifting this baby off the counter! Hah!! I should also mention that the board is straight and true, with no warping at all. I'll also be using it for cutting my home-made pizzas with one of those super-long curved cutters that pizzerias use. The Winco board is large enough for cutting even the biggest pizzas. I'll use one side for cutting, and the other just for kneading dough. I highly recommend using one of those rubbery, non-skid checkerboard-looking mats under the board to keep the slick nylon from sliding around. For cutting all other things like meat, veggies, bread, etc, I use only end-grain wood cutting boards to prolong the sharpness of my knives. ... show more

    • Fantastic value and quality
Wow, now this is what I call a cutting board! This is a very substantial board, and love the lightly textured surface. No idea how it will hold up to stains, but I believe this is made from UHMW plastic, which is practically indestructible. I have a commercial sink, so cleaning this monster of a cutting board is not an issue for me, but this is certainly not something you could clean in an average size kitchen sink easily. For $31 I have absolutely no complaints, and Amazon shipped it for free, such a deal. Thank you Amazon prime! Overall a great value. I would not hesitate to purchase again. I needed a cutting board for leather work. When this cutting board arrived I was more than pleased. This is a very solid and heavy weight board. Generous size. Easy to clean. I love it.

I needed it to be 3/4" for a specific product. Using my micrometer I measured it as 0.700". Overall the board was sturdy and after some adjustments I was able to use it.

    • Will cover one and one half sinks on a double kitchen sink
I needed a board that would cover my sinks front to back and side to side and this board satisfies my needs. No more dumping roasts or vegetables into the sink because my largest board slides around. 18"x24"x3/4"...long, wide and thick. Perfect!

It's comically large. I don't really think I can even use this thing but it's not the product's fault. I wanted a thicker board like the ones that restaurants use but I didn't really think that a 2' x 1.5' board would be that big. It's so large I'd have to wash this in the bath tub. Sturdy. Heavy. Almost 3/4 inches thick. Very good board. However, it sucks for cutting anything but bread. Very slippery. Different boards are colored coded. white is bread. Juices from meat flows off. No channel.

This came with a deep cut in one side and it is bowed. If it wasn't such a pain I would have returned it.
