Of course they need to be smoothes and messed with upon opening but they are packaged rather tightly in a bag and because of that you have to sit through them to find ones that haven't been irreversibly damaged from being compacted. The edges are frayed it looks ok but won't last year after year without sealing the edges. Many of the petals have been folded and wrinkled due to the packaging. The clips that come with them are small and can be difficult to open once the flower is on so I'd suggest putting the clip on your tree before you attach the flower to it. So unless you want mangled flowers or a project to fix these I would look somewhere else. Also so much glitter falls off of these. It's everywhere.. and there and somehow it got all the way over there too. ... show more
