Truth, it’s October and I have not worn these skiing yet here in Upstate NY, so my comments are general unboxing and trying on sorts. I am a skier of the 50 years or more on the hill category, a 35 year ski instructor veteran, a avid MTB rider, an outdoor everyday person, and a gear junkie. I expect a lot from my stuff and also have been on a quest to find outdoor clothing that preforms but also hits the lower end of cost, I have been a hardworking trades guy with 3 children and a limited budget for non-durable adventure gear. Over regular use every coat, pant, sock, boot, hat, etc…… wears out or stops fitting right, so for me the expensive super clothes are not for me, I’m a get it done give me a deal shopper. So I wanted to add a fresh pair of resort ski pants to my collection of downhill clothes and I hit the internet for research landing on the Wildhorn Bowman pants seen on Amazon. The specs are typical for pants under $250, but they are like $119, I’m willing to try and with the return policy I ordered. Unboxing and try on: They seem well constructed and promising. My only issue is that they could be alittle taller in the hips, waist, crotch area they feel alittle more “low cut” than I’d like however they are in the right position and I think they will be ok. I ordered a small because I am and at 145lbs, most mediums are too big. Hoping for a great find with these…..time will tell. ... show more

This is a great pant for the cost. I am very impressed with the materials and quality. They are well designed and look great. They are very warm and only require a base layer on very cold days. The only thing keeping these from a 5 star review is the fit. They are a bit tight across my thighs and mid section, but the waist is true to size. I am 6’1 and 212 lbs with a 35/36 waist. I've had these pants for three years now, and they are still in great shape despite wearing them skiing nearly 100 times. They are well made, warm, and easy to move in. Plus, Wildhorn is a great company. I initially bought a helmet from them and liked it so much that I bought their goggles, jacket, pants, and gear for my family. These pants definitely have a good quality-to-cost value like others say. All the features you want are there for snowboarding -- good pocket arrangement, good fit around the boots, nice and large vents. The only downside to these is the belt system. I generally wear 30/30 pants and ordered a small. Fits well when I tried on, but the belt does not keep the pants on my waist. It is made of a stretchy material and even when tightened as much as possible, after multiple snowboard runs it is hanging low. Poor design choice, especially when compared to pants that have those velcro straps on the waist interior for tightening. If you have a smaller waist and generally wear a belt with your pants, you will likely need suspenders to keep these up. ... show more
