Although it's 66% Cotton, 29% Polyester, and 5% Spandex, it does not feel as soft as I expected, but the spandex gives it some stretch. I ordered a medium based on the size chart, and I recommend checking it first as I often wear a small but definitely needed to size up. It's medium weight and not made for warmth. This is a nice basic moderately oversized top. It is somewhere between a heavy tee shirt and a lightweight sweatshirt. I like that it is more cotton than synthetic. It will make a good everyday shirt that I can wear over a tee or even a collared shirt when it's colder.
