I am 5'4", currently 131 lbs, I'm 10 lbs overweight in my belly area (which I try to hide), and I'm a 36D up top. So I wanted this dress to fit in a "forgiving" way, yet still look attractive enough for going out to lunch or dinner. I already own a dress with this same tropical print in the sleeveless version, so this time I ordered it in the short-sleeve version. I wasn't sure if I would feel more comfortable in the medium or the large, so I ordered both sizes because it was on sale. (Lol) To be honest, the medium fit me perfectly, and the large was only slightly roomier... So instead of returning one, I will be keeping both! The Pros: The dress is well made, the fabric is not see-through, the fabric is comfortable & soft to the touch, the fabric drapes without clinging, the pockets are handy and well-placed (although I don't need the pockets), the length is perfect for my 5'4" self -- even without shoes it comes to my ankles, and the tropical print I chose is very pretty & stylish. Oh, and the short sleeves help to hide the fact that my upper arms need to join a gym. ;) The Cons: I would (personally) prefer if this dress did not have side slits that show my legs. I REALLY WISH they offered another version of this dress without side slits. Also, I (personally) would TRULY PREFER a deeper cut v-neck in this dress. The existing v-neck is too high and a bit too conservative for my personal preferences. This too-high v-neck makes the dress (and me) feel a bit too frumpy & less attractive. Instead of wearing this dress to go out to lunch or dinner, I will be wearing it as more of a house dress. But I really, really, really wanted to wear it as a fun & sassy summer dress for dressing up & going out. Sadly the neckline is just too high for my taste. (Please 🙏WIHOLL, make another version of this dress with a deeper/lower v-neck or a deeper SCOOP neckline , and make one with side slits & one without side slits.... Because then you will get EVERY woman's business, and we will ALL buy multiple dresses in your fabulous prints and solids!! 💖 ... show more
