  • Wonderful, high quality shoes
Size: 9 Wide Color: W81 | Grey Brown
I'm really surprised how comfortable these shoes turn out to be. They are not bouncy like I am used to or supportive in the traditional sense. But as soon as I put them on I could tell they were the ones. The wide toe box is amazing, much wider than several other zero drop shoes I own. They just feel natural on my feet. I also love the style because they don't look athletic. I bought the gray color and they sort of look like villager shoes. If I ever land a role in Les Miserables, I already have part of my costume! All jokes aside, they are nice looking shoes. Very versatile and super comfortable. ... show more

  • Love them so far Love them so far
Size: 7.5 Wide Color: W81 | Light Blue
Update: I ordered another color of this exact style and size and they fit tighter and were uncomfortable in the toe area, now I have to return them. Very disappointed, no idea why a different color of the exact same shoe fits differently. My original pair are still very comfortable. I actually purchased these shoes for my toddler son because I was looking for wide toe box shoes for his growing feet. I saw there were adult shoes too and I read a lot of other reviews before buying these. I wore them today for a 30 minute Walk and I loved them. As soon as I put them on my feet they felt like a cozy slipper. They fit true to size for me and were very comfortable to walk in without feeling too big and goofy. I'll wear them more and for longer, if they continue to feel comfortable I will be purchasing more. The soles are thin and I can feel more through the bottoms of my feet, I prefer to wear flip flops or be barefoot so I actually really like this. The shoes are very flexible and the material is stretchy. If I have any complaints the longer I wear them, I'll update, but so far I'm satisfied. ... show more

  • fits fred flintstone feet
Size: 8 Wide Color: W81 | Beige
i have been wearing these for a month now and im ready to review I purchased these as a keds type shoe to wear for the summer..keds don't fit me but i like the look with shorts and sometimes you just don't want to wear a running sneaker or sandal sizing - this review is for the widefit whiten which i am grateful for its availability. i wear on average a 7.5or 8 shoe with a 2E width...my foot is very wide with short stubby toes...at the base of the toes - 9.8 cm wide...that's 3.85"...so size wise i'm equivalent to 10 width size 7.5 length...very hard for me to find any kind of shoe. I found these and decided to give them a try and i have to say these are very doable. the size 8 fits my toes with room to spare and i can say that i never realized how nice it is for my toes to just stick out straight without being pinched together. even after a month i still am aware of the freedom my toes feel when i wear these. Fit- over all i would say these fit true to size...i ordered the size based on width, so i went with the 8...lengthwise, they're probably a bit long...not enough to trip over, and when i walk i don't notice it, but the weave is denser along the first inch closest to the seams and when i wiggle my toes the nails hit that boundary which feels weird to me. i just want to be clear that this doesn't impact walking, its only something i notice when i wiggle my toes. On the good side it points to a longer lasting shoe. Width wise the fabric has no stretch so if the shoes fit with a thin sock don't expect to them to stretch out and wear thicker socks...or suffer the consequences. I tried to wear a thick running sock and after 20 min started to get pins and needles and took the socks off. One down side...(minus one star) others have mentioned this and i wholeheartedly agree that the seam at the pinky toe is totally annoying. i notice it when i first put them on and notice it when i am sitting...not so much when i am walking. I think its two fold, one, the seam makes it much thinker and less flexible at that spot and two the edge of the fabric can rub if you have sensitive toes. Sometimes it bothers me and sometimes it doesn't. I'm thinking about figuring out if i can iron on a patch to smooth it out but probably wont...seems like a lot of work for the return of investment. Support - funny that even without any sort of built in support my foot feels well supported. the Sole is flat...i repeat FLAT... but the way the shoe is shaped when i tie the laces my arch feels cradled. Now if you have arch needs these shoes will not give you that kind of support...even so i do feel that my foot is strong and grounded when wearing these. side note and good to knows 1. these wash well...i washed them in cold water and left them to dry overnight...came out looking like new 2. yes the liner will come out with your foot when you take them off... 3. if you are used to a lot of cushioning or this is your first time wearing a "barefoot" shoe, your ankle and feet WILL FEEL SORE for a while. In most cases, and this is what i have realized after watching many videos about the whole concept is that your feet are adjusting to a different more natural way of walking. your toes will be used to propel you forward, your arch will actually hold your foot in place and your ankle will start accommodating for a more natural gate. Your forefoot will hit the ground before your heel as you wear them more...and all of those weakness that sneakers have been adjusting for you will be realized as soreness until you balance out. 4. you might not want to go back to regular shoes...yes, they look like duck feet in comparison, but its not really that bad in reality and the comfort outweighs the look ... show more

  • Very nice barefoot sneakers
Size: 6 Wide Color: W81 | All White
I have very wide, short (8 inches heel-to-toe), and tall (instep) feet, so I was looking for a nice pair of white sneakers that would not squish my toes and allow my feet to move a bit more naturally. I ordered size 6, which fits my feet very well. Since buying these, they have become one of my absolute favorite pairs of shoes, because they are just so comfortable! They are excellent shoes for driving, and I usually forget that I'm wearing them because of how comfortable they are. I wear them on most of my walks, and while they probably wouldn't withstand heavy walking without wearing out the insole, the outer sole is holding up pretty well. Even with the insole, I can feel the different surfaces I'm walking on without feeling like I'd get cut if I stepped on something sharp, which is very nice. My toes have room to spread out and move freely (while my pinky toe cannot spread out fully to the side, it is not squished inward towards the other toes). They are obviously not the first choice for fashionable shoes, but they don't look so much like clown shoes that I feel self-conscious wearing them in public. And I really like how many color options there are! I would not be surprised if I ordered another pair of these in another color, or maybe the ones that are made of canvas material to be a bit warmer for colder months (these ones are quite breathable). I haven't cleaned them yet, but I think they'll be pretty easy to clean. The one thing I don't like so much is that the laces are made of a very synthetic material, which holds the shape of how they were tied when they arrived. I think maybe washing and air-drying them would help with that, but I haven't gotten around to that yet, so they still have some kinks and look a little wonky, but that's a minor thing for me. All in all, I am very happy with this purchase, and I think these are a great value for the price! ... show more

  • I feel like a new person with better balance and stability
Size: 9 Wide Color: W81 | Beige
I’m honestly shocked that a $40 pair of shoes has become the most comfortable in my entire collection! After enjoying a barefoot hike on the beach, I realized the real health benefits of walking barefoot. I wanted to bring that experience into an urban environment, so I decided to try an affordable pair from Amazon—and I couldn’t be happier that I picked these Whitins. The toe box is the widest I’ve ever experienced, yet the shoes don’t look clownish at all. While barefoot shoes typically require a slow transition, these felt so comfortable right out of the box that I immediately stopped wearing my other shoes and started wearing these exclusively. And to put it in perspective, I normally wear brands like Nike, New Balance, Birkenstocks, and Tevas—all known for comfort—but none compare to these Whitins! If you have wider feet (I wear C width), these shoes will change your life! They have the perfect amount of cushioning to let you walk on hard surfaces for hours while supporting your journey to stronger feet and legs, better balance, a lower risk of hip fractures from falls, and fewer foot problems (like bunions and plantar fasciitis). I recently tried on a pair of Vivobarefoot Primal 3 women’s cross-training shoes that cost $120 and couldn’t believe the difference. The Vivobarefoots had a narrower toe box that prevented toe splay, while the Whitins allow my toes to stretch out much more. Walking in Whitins feels like walking barefoot at the beach--comfortable yet will tone those leg muscles up! Since wearing these, I feel like a new person—more balanced, more stable, and more rejuvenated. I am also less afraid of falling and breaking a hip in the future. These shoes aren’t just comfortable; they’re life-changing. Thank you, Whitin! UPDATE: The superlatives do not end. Over the past few months these shoes have allowed my feet to expand and strengthen. My feet are stronger, more muscular, and more stable than they have ever been in any point in my life. I bought a pair of the Lems Primal Zen shoes, which are also extremely comfortable and I have to say the Whitins are just as comfortable at only a fraction of the cost. The only downside is that as your toes expand and your muscles strengthen you might need to buy a bigger pair of these shoes! Don't let the inexpensive price fool you--these are hands down one of the most comfortable barefoot shoes available on the market today! ... show more

  • Mixed emotions about this item
Size: 8 Wide Color: W81 | All Black
ok. received these shoes today. for me, i like the soles. they are comfortable and felt good walking. the toe box is great. sort of BIG, but with socks would be alright, i believe. i usually wear a woman's 7.5M or 8M depending on how a shoe is made, and i don't have wide feet. they are narrow. i got these in an 8W because of Amazon's recommendation for sizing and i needed to try something with a wide toe box. these were long enough, but unfamiliarly big across my foot, and wearing them with socks would not fill up the shoe side to side. i went for a walk in them - about a mile. feet got hot and sweaty (no socks on), and wherever that tag on the tongue of the shoe touched my foot it made my skin itch. the more i walked, the more it itched. now for the insole. i really thought it was going to be such complete trash that i wouldn't be able to make it two blocks before my heels would be screaming, but that surprisingly did not happen. this insole has no arch support in it, so when they say 'sock liner' in the description of these shoes, they mean that literally. it's not much to speak of, but it was enough for this walk, although it did make my feet sweat. i cannot decide if i want to keep these shoes. i want something that i don't have to shell out another $20 for an insole to be able to wear, and ones that i can wear without socks and not get sweaty feet. these just might not be the ones for me. good point: i have either a really bad callous or a tailor's bunion on the pinky toe side of my left foot, and that did not hurt AT ALL while i was walking. no part of the shoe was rubbing on it or pressing on it in any way, so that was a good thing. a marvelous thing, actually. also, the shoes come up to my ankle bones and tie snugly enough that they were not slopping around on my feet, so that's a good thing. however, i did feel at times that the front of the shoes were slapping on the ground like clown shoes. i will give them another try, but believe i will be returning them. ... show more

  • Great product for a shoe!
Size: 8 Wide Color: W81 | All Black
I wear a size 8 and they fit perfectly! I also have arthritis in a joint in my foot just 1 toe and snug or tipped shaped shoes scrunch that bone and it leaves my foot in agony by the time I get home from work, these shoes are comfortable, complete foot coverage, lightweight, easy to walk in, they are flexible in ways I didn’t know shoes could be, I would recommend this shoe to anyone who has trouble with foot pains or even walking pains it felt like I was barefoot all day even though I was in shoes! Absolutely love love love these shoes and will most likely never go back to any other shoe! ... show more

Size: 7.5 Wide Color: W81 | Candy Red
Arrived promptly. Very comfortable shoe. Enjoy the wide box toe area. Very comfortable to wear around the house and for errands. Would not recommend for hiking or for walking around on a cement floor all day or walking on gravel for a long period of time. The zero drop is great. I enjoy having my foot being completely flat and toes having room to spread out. Definitely a healthy way to walk. These shoes make it easy to walk heel to toe. Enables me to keep ankles, knees and hips in alignment reducing joint pain. ... show more
