  • Surprisingly good quality!
Size: 12 Wide Color: W85 Rich Black
The price I payed vs the quality I received do not match at all. The are an amazing deal. The are super comfy, super sturdy, and look good too. Do I expect them to last years and years and years, no. But at this price even if I had to buy a pair every year it still comes out cheaper then other barefoot shoes out there. That being said, the soles are ridged, not much feeling of the ground below the feet. I would not recommend if you have thick feet as they are a bit tight. However the toe box is super wide. The laces are almost purely for aesthetics, as the shoe firs like a sock. Hense I do not recommend for people with thick feet. But all in all happy with the purchace. ... show more

  • A year later: still Great low cost minimalist option!
Size: 10 Wide Color: W85 White Gum
BOTTOM LINE: I highly recommend these! Comfortable, functional, ergonomic, and fashionable. I have had these shoes for over a year now and can say that they are fantastic! They are a great way to checkout minimalist footwear without breaking the bank. I am a teacher and am on my feet most of the day. These shoes allow your feet and body to work the way they were designed and have helped with my foot and back pain. You definitely need to transition into wearing these if you are not a regular user of barefoot shoes. It took me about 2-3 weeks or rotating them in with my regular shoes, but now I wear the 90% of the time. I also use these as my gym shoes for weightlifting and love them for that as well. The wide toe box and flat sole are great for lifting. I wouldn’t wear them for running, but they are good for just about everything else! I normally wear a size 10.5 Mens and ordered a 10 in these. Perfect fit. To clean, I remove the soles and laces and was in the washing machine and hang dry. Have had 0 issues! ... show more

  • Not very durable but good budget barefoot shoes for walking.
Size: 9 Wide Color: W85 Rich Black
These are a great first pair of barefoot shoes especially for walking. For running they don't work for me but milage may very. If you have the money then I would get something more durable like Vivobarefoot, Feelgrounds, Groundies, Be Lenka, etc. Durability - I wore these delivering pizzas for around 30 hours a week. The tread went flat in a few months. I kept wearing them and they lasted me about 11 months before the soles split and water got in. At some point the sole also started rolling over itself a bit which I felt slightly while walking. On the outside the treading all looks good but on the inside it's falling apart a bit. For $40 I can't really complain, but it is a little wasteful to have to replace your shoes once or twice a year. Comfort - if you like cushy shoes then these are a big adjustment. Once you get used to them, they are super comfy for walking; they really feel sort of barefoot. For running they don't really work for me because when I tighten down the laces, the tongue folds over and becomes a pressure point. They have thin, flexible, somewhat soft soles; I would not want to step on a nail in these but they provide great ground feel. The toe box is nice and wide so they don't squeeze my toes. ... show more

  • Comfortable Discount Barefoot Shoes
Size: 12 Wide Color: W85 Taupe
These shoes are quite comfortable barefoot shoes, and compare favorably to my other much more expensive brands of barefoot shoes. And the price is terrific. One reason I bought them was potentially to use them on the court for athletics, but they are not constructed for that. They are much more "house shoe" type shoe or for running errands around town. The one negative for me is that they run hot. I think they run hot because of the cheaper materials they are made of. They have the same sort of feel to them that the cheap Pay Less shoes have. You can just tell that they are not using premium materials, but for the price you wouldn't really expect anything more than that. For the price, they are terrific house/backup shoes. I wouldn't wear them as my primary shoes, but I'm glad that I own these. ... show more

  • Barefoot Heaven
Size: 10 Wide Color: W85 Rich Black
From the second Input them on, my feet felt very comfortable and with the perfect support to walk all day. These are among the very best barefoot shoes I have worn. Every step is a foot massage... every step my feet, ankles, knees and back feel stronger... and I feel better about myself and life. This is the perfect all day barefoot shoe for a price that very reasonable. Thank you Whitin and Amazon for providing easy access to these life-changing shoes. ... show more

  • Great everyday minimalist shoe
Size: 9 Wide Color: W85 Dark Blue
Love these shoes! Very flexible and with enough cushion to be comfy but still retain that minimalist feel for the ground. They go well with dress casual, jeans, or shorts. Easy to slip on and the toe box is wide and allows the toe spread you desire in a minimalist shoe. Maybe runs a tad big but not enough to complain about. I personally do not use these for my workouts but you definitely could use them for that purpose. ... show more

  • Needed Wide Shoes... CAUTION
Size: 12.5 Wide Color: W85 Dark Blue
Was looking to finally get into wide set shoes after having some foot pain and I decided to get these a try. I got size 13 which is my normal shoe size, but they proved to be clownishly too big (felt like Ronald McDonald walking around). I checked with the size chart and I decided to go on the smaller side, after having measured my foot. I got a size 11. Too small. Sent back and ordered a 12. Too small still. Got a 12.5. Finally felt good. The shoes themselves are comfy. I like how they "hug" your ankles. That being said, the shoes are not without issues. The sole is incredibly bendable, to the point where there isn't really a lot of support. I took out the shoe inserts the shoes came with and I put in some Dr. Scholls. Felt much better, that being said. The shoes felt fine for a few weeks. But then the right shoe started to squeak whenever I walked. This wasn't a surface issue, since the right shoe squeaked regardless whether I was walking on a hardwood floor, poured concrete, or out on the street. I've tried several things to help tone down the squeaking (including WD-40), but didn't really prove helpful. I do walk a lot and I put a lot miles on my shoes. While these shoes are decent for the time being, I'm thinking next time I'll get the real thing (Olukai boat shoes, which are over $100, but I think they'll give me more support). Overally I'm happy with what I got for the $40 I paid for them. ... show more
