The Most Comfortable Shoes I've Ever Owned
Size: 12.5
Color: 2_ Black Gray
These are fantastic! I've spent a few years trying many different kinds of boots, hiking shoes, and running shoes, always struggling with pain either in my toes (from getting squashed together, particularly when moving downhill), or my heels (from unpleasant rubbing). Apart from this, I also do a bit
of running and was experiencing maddening shin splints. I've tried different footwear for that as well, including heavily-padded Adidas. After witnessing a triathlete friend wearing a different brand of barefoot shoe, I decided to look into minimalist footwear for myself. After a tiny amount of research, I settled upon this, gave 'em a wear, and was astonished! They are extremely comfortable: They feel like socks, but with traction. I wear them in every one of those above-mentioned applications and they work beautifully in all scenarios! The grip is fantastic and seems to work even on wet ground (though I haven't gotten to test this on a proper river hike just yet). For my running, they have encouraged me to improve my technique (away from heel striking to toe striking), thus reducing incidents of shin splits to nearly zero. Although they look quite cool, I do think the one application they don't quite fit is dressy scenarios. They look a little too casual for corporate events, etc. That said, for every other functional walking + running application, these are by far the best shoes I've ever owned. One warning: Be careful when lacing your shoe that you pull your laces across the face of your shoe, and not directly upward! If you pull too forcefully upward, you may rip the rubber islet.

Before this I had vibram five fingers and another brand. Impressed with the value of these shoes. They are fantastics. Very flexible but with a hard enough sole that stones don't stab you if you run on trails. Very comfortable, my new favorite. I run in them daily. Brooks gathering dust over here. Be
en running in the Brooks and recently had an issue with a muscle tear inside the sole of my foot. I believe it's because of footwear or the way our foot is forced to pronate when wearing these thick padded running shoes. I feel this shoe will allow the muscles in the foot to get strong once again after two years of wearing Brooks

Extremely comfortable, not suitable for wet surfaces
Size: 11
Color: Black/Gum
These shoes are extremely comfortable and breathable. Most shoes take some time to 'break in' but these were comfortable right out of the box. I walked about 170,000 steps in these shoes over the course of a week and a half and my legs felt great. No soreness. I reduced my rating by 1 star because th
ey are not suitable for walking on wet surfaces. Be careful! They have very limited traction when the ground is wet, I had to take tiny steps to keep my balance and the cobblestone hill was a dangerous climb. Overall, I highly recommend these shoes for dry conditions

Most wonderful shoes I've owned since boyhood moccassins
Size: 11
Color: 1_ Dark Grey
This is my first foray into the world of minimalist shoes as an adult, but these shoes remind me of the complete joy I used to feel at age 10 on Saturday mornings walking alongside my dad, fishing pole in hand, loping along silently down a lakeside trail in 100% leather moccassins. I'm no longer that
boy. I'm 52, with flat feet and 40 pounds too heavy. I've had two knee surguries, the last of which ended with my doctor saying "It's not if you need a knee replacement, but when. Tell me when you're ready." The inside surface of my right kneecap -- the part that rubs against the rest of the joint -- was scoped to reveal that it looks like its cartilage, which is supposed to be smooth, looks like it has been through a cheese grater. I wore hard "cookie" orthotics in my shoes as a kid, have bought hefty arch supporting insoles for all my shoes all my life, and work 12 hour days outside on Saturdays in boots that have $400 Good Feet Store hard orthotics in them. I say all this not to exhaust the reader or make this product review about me, but instead to say that although I was a cross country runner in my early teens, I am clearly no athlete anymore. If minimalist shoes should hurt anyone, they should hurt me. And some did. I also ordered a couple other brands when I ordered these. They were not comfortable. These are. They fit my feet nicely, and that's saying something for me. I have narrow feet, but have always worn B to D widths because my feet get extremely hot, so I like the extra air space. The sole padding on these shoes is just enough. The tread is good, even in mud. The flexibility is outstanding. And even though the arch supports are nowhere near as high as the orthotics I am accustomed to wearing, I find that they work fine. I walk three miles a day in these. I hope to lose some weight so I can try jogging in them -- something I haven't done in 20 years. Another thing I like about these shoes is the attention to detail in making the heel and tongue substantial, unlike other brands I ordered and returned at the same time I was testing these. The heel rises high enough and is cupped enough to prevent my heel from rubbing. This is actually amazing to me, and unprecedented as far as I can remember. My narrow feet and low arches have always caused my shoes to have no purchase on anything to hold them back from rubbing on the heel. As a result, the inside of the heel of every pair of shoes I've ever owned has had its inner padding rubbed off within months. That's not going to happen with these. Another point of quality in these shoes is the tongue. Other brands I ordered seemed to sacrifice so much to reduce shoe weight that they relegated the tongue to a limp flap of material that would wrinkle every time I laced up the shoe, which translates to rubbing on the instep and also allowing the laces to blow through and rub directly on my sock. Not so with the tongue on these shoes. They have just enough height and padding to prevent wrinkling and rubbing. I'm surprised to find that after an initial few days when I had to adjust my three-mile walks to the new gait that minimalist shoes promote, my body acclimated nicely. I found myself with muscles growing in my calves, arches, and ankles, and my normal aches from a bad knee and arthritic big toe disappeared. An unexpected bonus is that these shoes also make great slippers for padding around the house, which I usually do in bare feet in summer but doesn't work in winter. I normally hate slippers of any kind even in winter because again, my feet get very hot very easily, and I am prone to get sores between my toes when my feet get too hot for too long. Heat isn't much of a problem in these shoes, though, even in summer, so I'm looking forward to December. I am astounded, actually, that I could get a pair of shoes this comfortable for the price. Twice before in my life I've bought a second identical pair of shoes when I found a pair that I really, really liked. That's how hard I am to fit. I shop for shoes for weeks, sometimes months, before buying. But I think I'm going to buy a second or maybe even a third pair of these. Your mileage may vary, but for me, they are perfect.

These shoes are amazing. I was skeptical about ordering shoes online because I usually go through a bunch of shoes when I try on in person and know instantly that most of them are not for me for one reason or another. I was pleasantly surprised with these as they fit perfectly and look great. More im
portantly, they feel great. I noticed four positive changes immediately: 1) I started gripping the floor with my toes and actively pushing off as I walked rather than passively slapping and rolling, 2) I started landing on the front half of my feet rather than the heels, 3) I started using my calves more and 4) I could feel the ground surface better. I don’t agree with the reviews that say that the laces are useless, there is no tongue, they feel like water shoes or that you feel every little pebble when walking. The laces work, the tongue works and is attached so it doesn’t shift, the shoes are much more substantial than water shoes, and the soles and insoles offer protection. I have a rough gravel driveway that can bring you to your knees in rubber-soled slippers, but I’m able to walk or run over it comfortably in these shoes while still feeling the surface changes. Only negative so far is that they are slippery on wet vinyl flooring, but most shoes are. Otherwise, they are quite grippy. I will be buying extra pairs in various colors.

The comfier the shoe, the uglier it is. My wife and kids constantly make fun of me when I wear these, but I have no shame. These are the best pair of 40 dollar shoes I ever bought. They are awesome at the gym for squatting. They feel great when I’m walking around town. And I where them every time I’m
out with my family to embarrass them. It’s win. Don’t even think. Just give them your money.

Good shoe other than eating my right sock.
Size: 11
Color: 3-1_ Black
Good shoe for getting into a more barefoot style shoe system. Performs well at the gym and on walks. Only issue is with it constantly sucking my right sock down into the shoe. Doesn't matter what kind of sock. It seems odd because my right foot is noticeably larger than my left and you would think it
would happen on the smaller foot. I think if it had one more eyelet a little further up the shoe it wouldn't be an issue. Just cant seem to get the top of the shoe tight enough.

It’s actually a very good looking shoe ,that can be worn anytime you don’t need dress shoes to wear .Being wide helps me since I have hammertoes. The things that I viewed as minuses are the inserts , they lasted me about a couple of weeks. There’’s’ also a need for thicker soles since you can feel jag
ged rocks ,lifted concrete, pebbles, etc .So even though they are basically comfortable to wear there are some drawbacks too them.I would recommend a good insert to them and even with that added cost , the shoe still has pricing value compared to many other shoes in the same class

I really like the fit and comfort. These are perfect for bike riding with good souls. However, I almost fell on my rear slipping on tile after a walk in the grass. They look and seem as though they would be good for boating or walking smooth surfaces because of the tread. But, they are Not good when
wet.

Used and abused by yours truly

I'll try to make this quick I got these shoes to see how I'd feel about the barefoot feeling And they feel great. I wear them all the time, inside and out. I will say, I'm an 8.5, and ordered such, and these are a tiny bit too big on me in terms of length. But they do feel rather small in terms of th
e size of the toe box. They feel very similar to my New Balance trail running shoes in the toe area. 2.5 hour hiking trips really helped my feet get used to these shoes Although, if you are unable to walk a lot on dirt with these shoes to start off. TAKE IT SLOW. Do not injure your self by transitioning too fast. I'm able to walk just fine on any surface for extended periods at this point I have been heavily slowed down when I wear these on the coast on my hikes because of how rocky it is, the rocks do hurt my feet some. Although it is getting better and better with the more my feet grow stronger These shoes are incredibly grippy. The only time it isn't grippy for me is when I'm inside and the tile floor is wet. But wet rocks, logs, dirt, mud, all of those I feel more confident walking on and in with these shoes than my New Balance trail running shoes that cost me $140. I have noticed a better and more responsive connection to whatever I'm doing when I'm wearing these compared to my other shoes. In a very good way it makes me want to jump on things more, and just explore more. It could just be placebo, I have no idea. But it is there for me. I have noticed my legs get stronger than they already are(I bike a lot, so I have strong legs), especially with balance and the ability to go onto my knees from a standing position. If you want to get into barefoot shoes for a good price, this is a good option. If you get the white shoes. They are blindingly bright when you first get them. Once mine got a little dirty, I liked them a lot more.

These are shoes I can wear in the house!
Size: 10
Color: Black/Gum
I am not a person who collects shoes. I HATE wearing socks and shoes. I would go barefoot everywhere if I could. However, that is simply not an option. I had always assumed that I was just weird and I was okay with that, but then I found these shoes. The main reason that I hate wearing socks and shoe
s is that I cannot feel the ground. I am a clumsy oaf and I trip over my own feet when I where shoes. Not these shoes! These shoes still feel like shoes in that they protect my feet from the scalding asphalt and sharp rocks, but they are fit my feet so well that they don't feel clunky like all other footwear. The sole is constructed in such a way that I can feel the ground. Due to that factor, I can wear these shoes on smooth surfaces without feeling like I am going to slip or trip. Usually, the first thing I do when I get home is kick off my shoes and socks so that I am more comfortable and can move more confidently, but I don't have to do that with these shoes. This is the first pair of shoes that I have ever owned that I can confidently and comfortably wear. I can even where them in my house!

Wanted to toughen up my feet and started researching. These shoes had a ton of positive reviews so this is what I went with. I only wear these once or twice a week on walks that last roughly 2 miles each. Durability: Not too bad. The shape of the rubber meant that they started wearing pretty quick, b
ut once the high points wore, the wear slowed down a bit. The soles are very soft allowing your feet to feel much more than a standard shoe. Feeling the rocks, gravel and texture of the walking surface is pretty amazing leading to better stability. The upper of the shoe is flexible and after 4 month showing very little wear. I slip my feet in and out of the shoe without retying. Pretty sure the laces are just to shape the upper to your foot, not really yo keep them on like a standard shoe. Comfort: These are barefoot shoes, they are not comfortable by design. Our standard cushy shoes are what lead me to walk the way I do, causing an assortment of issues in my knees and back. The first couple weeks wearing these were brutal. I almost quit. But with time my feet got stronger and I changed the way I walk. Now they are just fine, but not comfortable and not supposed to be. Fun facts: My back does feel better and I'm walking with much less heel impact making my knees happy. I cleaned the gutters wearing these and the grip on the roof was unbelievable. The compound of the rubber griped the shingles and the flexibility of the soles let my feet curve to every angle. Overall I am very happy with these shoes and will probably buy again (I might try a "premium brand just to see).

Slightly chunky fabric behind the heel, not sure why. Toe box stretches to fit my foot well enough, but barefoot shoes generally have wider toe boxes than these. Overall I'm happy, though I do feel they could make these just a little more "foot-shaped"

I bought the grey ones a year ago on a whim and they became my daily use shoes. Wore them in the rain often during my food delivery job. No other shoes were used during that year. When they were finally done there were holes in the bottom. I bought my second pair a few days ago. Good quality cheap sh

They feel nice on the feet, some support but not like those bulky tennis shoes. I also like that they are round on the sole edges, so my feet muscles workout as they should. They seem breathable so my feet don't get too sweaty. BTW, get a 1/2 size bigger, specially if you have the index toe a little
big bigger than the big toe, as is my case. Overall, happy with this purchase.
