Way more stable than I anticipated. I don't play real flight sims. All space sims. So I tend to be more, ehh... deliberate when I moved the hotas controls heh. Stand works great. Doesn't move around at all. I'm way more likely to move my chair than the stand. Came with all the tools you need for adjustments. Folds up neatly when not being used. Great instructions. A nifty warning about hardwoods and the rubber skids (seriously thanks for that warning) so I bought a no skid doormat to sit underneath. The seller delivered fast and the product is great (My only issue is that I am tall have long arms and the throttle and joystick are way to close, it actually hurts my arms to use this product I have the MFG crosswinds because they are adjustable and good for tall people) Being able to use this with Elite Dangerous in VR and in Star Citizen is awesome! Those of us who own the Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog know one thing for certain - it's heavy, especially the throttle box. In fact, the throttle box is so heavy it's causing the mounting plate to sag. The plate simply isn't thick enough to bear the load. I fear that over time, through usage and gravitational pull, the plate will continue to bend. I'm using this with a Saitek X‑55 Rhino. Installation was super easy; bottom plate was already attached, all I needed to do was screw in the top plate. I'm actually using this stand backwards to save floor space, meaning the joystick and throttle are facing the opposite direction than the picture shows. This works just fine, and lets me put the bottom plate under my chair so that I can still reach my keyboard if I need to. After gaming with a Saitek x52 pro for about 3 weeks, I decided I needed a better solution other than putting suction cups on the bottom, which is not very effective for my current table. As of right now, this seems to be THE BEST pre-made solution for mounting the Saitek x52. The construction is solid, with all of the parts being made of either metal or rubber, which made me feel confident that it would be able to stand up to long hours of use. It's also really heavy. As soon as you have you're hands resting on the controls, the stand isn't going anywhere. If you're looking for a way to mount your joystick off of your table, and can't afford a gaming cockpit, then this is the answer to your prayers!!! ... show more

Honestly you don't notice how much you micromanage your motions when using a HOTAS when it isn't solidly anchored down. This thing rules.
