I was hesitant to order because I was worried they would just stay wet or hold sand. I was wrong!! The towels were perfect for our beach trip. They are so soft. My boys even used them as light blankets when they got out of the ocean. They dried very easily and did NOT hold any sand!! I had no trouble fitting five of these in my Bogg bag with room left for sunscreen, snacks and other necessities. We will also be using these on the lake next year, for sure.

I've bought 3 Turkish towels here on Amazon, all different brands from different companies/manufacturers. Of the 3, this is by far the softest. The other 2 were also a bit smaller or less absorbent. This brand is easy care, launders well with a minimal amount of shrinkage. It doesn't shed or pill. It takes up less shelf room in the linen closet and has multiple uses; it's a perfect tablecloth for the picnic table and works great as a beach blanket. It's lightweight too and did I mention how soft? But for me, Turkish towels in general have a down side. During summer with the air-conditioning on, I frequently chill when I first step out of the shower. These towels provide zero warmth! I miss the way a normal fluffy towel traps body heat in. I find the tassels on each end very aggravating as they catch in my hair, my glasses or on any corner or sharp edge of the bathroom cabinet. After a few washes, those tassels just become tangled strings that aren't attractive at all. Turkish towels also seem to pick easy. I can't let my cat around them as her claws seem to always catch and pick. She has no effect on traditional bath towels. If these negatives won't bother you, then I'd highly recommend this brand of turkish towels.

We use these towels at the beach, the pool, and even take with us on trips. They are so light weight and can fold up so well. We use it as a towel, sometimes as a wrap or scarf (perfect for the airplane!) And even as a light weight blanket when away from home. Strongly recommend!

I love Turkish towels but some of them can run $40+ each. I took a chance on these less expensive towels and was pleasantly surprised. They are lightweight and absorbent and they also feel nice. My only comment is that they shed or pill and leave lint all over my skin. I think this may go away the more I use and wash them.

We purchased 3 of these towels to take to the beach/boardwalk, hoping they would live up to the expectation of a lightweight, absorbent, quick drying, sand resistant alternative to the traditional beach towels we already had. These did not disappoint! We were able to fit all three towels in a small beach bag - roughly a quarter the size our normal towels would take up, plus they were significantly lighter. Once we hit the beach, they spread out and any sand that found its way on them was easy shaken off. They did a great job of drying us off after our swim in the ocean and absorbed all the salty water while brushing off the sand. They are not as absorbent as normal towels, but do a great job of drying. And though they aren't rough they aren't quite as soft as we expected. One of the three towels dried quickly as we walked the boardwalk, a second dried in the car hung near the open window (that had been sopping and took about half an hour to air dry), and the third was still a bit damp because it had been folded too soon. They are soft and thin and worked perfectly for our needs, making our beach day much more manageable. I highly recommend them!
