Features

  • ARMOR-TEK3 CARCASS PROTECTION - Cooper's proprietary and proven full 3-ply carcass construction in the tread and sidewall provides 50% more protection against impact damage than standard 2-ply tires: The third ply is oriented at an optimal angle to the first two ply's to maximize carcass protection in extreme off-road conditions
  • 3-2 INNER TREAD RIBS - The inner tread ribs of the Discoverer STT PRO are positioned in an alternating 3-2 pattern: This unique hybrid design provides a number of significant performance benefits like: reduced road noise, increased stability and handling, superior soft surface (trail) and mud traction, balanced wear, and reduced tendency for vehicle drift commonly experienced on fitments with aggressive off-road tires
  • LARGE DEPTH SIDE BITERS - The Discoverer STT PRO features large, specially-designed cleats of rubber (side biters) on the shoulder area of the sidewall, to enhance traction and grip in muddy or soft terrains and in rock crawling situations where maximum grip is essential: The orientation and design of these cleats promotes traction on inclines, reducing the chances of tire side-slip
  • FLEX GROOVE - The "flex groove" is a small, circumferential groove in the buttress region that generates a designed flex point in the tire: This ability to flex in a predetermined location provides a smoother ride by helping to dampen the impact generated by inconsistencies in pavement, potholes and gravel: In tough off-road situations where tires are sometimes aired down, this groove allows the tread and side biter to better conform and work together when traversing irregular, tough obstacles
  • ALTERNATING MUD SCOOP & ASYMMETRICAL SCALLOP - The asymmetrical scallops on alternating lugs direct mud into the mud scoops to allow the Discoverer STT PRO to pull through muddy terrains with ease: These scoops act as shovels to consistently dig in as the tire rotates: Scoop by scoop the Discoverer STT PRO digs in and will confidently pull your vehicle through the toughest situations

  • Quality tire
Purchased 2 sets, look is bland, however it has a good tread pattern. Perfect for a SUV, P-rated, ride quality is great. These are not LT tires, which give a harsh ride and higher load rating.

  • Decent tires, kind of good, not great
In my previous role at a tire shop, I always steered clear of offering Westlake tires to customers, preferring to recommend superior alternatives. However, circumstances took an unexpected turn during a work trip in California, where I encountered a nail puncture and found a shop carrying Hankook tires. En route to the shop, my other rear tire also suffered damage, leaving me with no choice but to purchase two Westlake tires because the shop only had one Hankook on hand and no other tire brand in my vehicles size. Fast forward three weeks, my attempts to balance the Westlake tires at multiple shops were in vain. Upon my return to Georgia, I decided to buy the two here i ordered on Amazon for my front wheels, for uniformity front and rear and balanced all 4 myself, resulting in a smoother ride. These tires provide decent grip, but not exceptional. While they offer good value in a pinch, I'd recommend saving up for a superior option if possible. It's worth noting that their traction can be a bit inconsistent, so if you enjoy accelerating quickly and driving aggressively, you should exercise caution. I haven't noticed any excessive tire noise, and they closely resemble Hankook tires in appearance. However, the discrepancy in quality becomes apparent when navigating bumpy, poorly maintained roads. ... show more

  • So far, so good, great product for the price!
You can't beat the price. I got these as a last chance, because every place in town was out of stock and wanted 3 times as much for the same tires. So far they are working great and wearing great also. I'll come back in 6 months wirh an update on how they are holding up. But so far, so good!

  • Great tire! Great Price!
I have had these on my 2013 Durango V8 for over 2 years. I have NOT been easy on them. The vehicle has towed 22ft boats (short distance), 25ft campers (400 miles round trip, several times) as well as 6x12 utility trailers numerous times. Plus round trip from Long Island to Ontario Canada and multiple upstate NY road trips. i have had ZERO issues with them and to this point have been very impressed with their handling on dry, wet, and snow covered roads. I am a first responder and the vehicle is driven hard often. I 100% recommend these and will without a doubt buy them again (which is now). I have just over 50k miles on them and they still have a usable amount of tread left to them. I can not speak on the negative reviews but I can share my experience and they have delivered beyond my expectations. ... show more
