The media could not be loaded. My famous line is "you get what you pay for". This is priced at $15. I wouldn't expect top notch quality for that price. I am deciding to return and pay the extra$20 for better quality. This wouldn't be ideal for the long term. I suggest to spend the extra$20, with that said...if you are on a tight budget this will serve its purpose. The tip-toe drain is great quality at this price point, that's worth the$15 alone. Watch the video and get a better idea. It's always easier to SEE the real thing. ... show more

This is my first bathtub replacement. Being a handyman of sorts, I have never called a plumber. With this thing, no problem. Installed it on a Delta Styla 54-inch alcove tub. It’s a bit thinner than schedule 40, but that made it a little more flexible when I needed flexibility. Still, it’s strong enough. Installation was smooth. (TIP: Before installing, I flipped the tub over and sprayed the unseen part of the tub with four cans of Great Stuff, for insulation to retain water heat.) UPDATE: The Delta 400 60-inch alcove tub that I am about to install in my second bathroom redo calls for an overflow drain pipe of 14 1/2 inches. This Westbrass overflow tube indicates a maximum of 14 inches. Woopsies! So, I called Westbrass. I was told that Westbrass sells an extension tube. No thank you. Amazon Sells the HIGHCRAFT Q4468 Plastic 6 Inch Extension Tube for $4.00. (Or an orange store has one for $3.00.) Still, this Westbrass assembly is such a great deal that I’m getting it again. ... show more

The overflow was 1 inch to short. Wasn’t able to use. Some stuff it’s better to buy at your local hardware store.

    • Slow drain plugged or not.

It's functional and easy to install, but whether the plug is engaged or not, the water slow drains out of the tub leaving you in a pool of dirty shower water by the end of your shower and a ring of soap scum to clean once it has finally finished draining. And forget a bath! As I said, even with the plug engaged, it still slowly drains out, so you can't really soak in the tub because the water is still draining. I would have sent it back, but that means I would have to dismantle half of the new renovations to accomplish that and the return period passed before it could be installed and the issue was revealed. I would not purchase this again and unfortunately, I cannot recommend an inferior product to others. ... show more

I removed a brass drain and replaced with this pvc replacement. No cutting required and slip fit was easy to install. For the price, it was a bargain vs installing brass components again. I was sceptical of the material thickness but it holds water and it will suffice. Get the tool to remove/install tub drains and paste or putty. I prefer paste. No leaks and minimal costs. ... show more
