When I install these I always use a very small drill bit to see if I hit a wall stud or not if I don't hit a stud then I use the screw insert and go one size smaller then what they say to use then I push the insert in by hand as far as it will go and then very easy hit it the rest of the way with a hammer you might have a total of 5 min installing it. ... show more

We have an older bathtub that had a very dangerous drain switch sticking 2 inches out. It always freaked me out during bath time for the my two little kiddos. I replaced it with this item and bought a drain plug. It only took a few minutes to swap out.

Haven’t even used yet. As soon as you install this the matte black screws are stripped away of its color just by simply screwing them in. You are left with gold color screws. This product is cheaply made and not even worth the amount of money. More like a $5-$10 value. I’m sure after a few baths/showers the plate itself will be removed of its color. It matches my bathroom so it will do for now but I’m sure it will not last long. ... show more
