I can’t say enough how happy I am with the regalia I ordered for my graduation! I had actually ordered it while I was still in my program. Having it displayed in my study/office served as a constant motivation – a reminder of my goal. Also, I ordered it so I could get some pictures done ahead of time. I graduated in the summer, but my school only offers commencement ceremonies in May and December. After researching several options and carefully reviewing last year’s graduation photos, I found this one. I was blown away by how closely it matched my school’s Ph.D tam, hood, and gown. When it came time to order the regalia through the bookstore, I missed the deadline (since I had finished my coursework, I was not actively checking student email!). Even the day before graduation, I had the chance to rent a Ph.D. tam and gown from the bookstore, but the one I’d purchased from Amazon was so close to my classmates’ regalia, I didn’t need to! This regalia turned out to be absolutely stunning, and as a college professor myself, I know I will be wearing it again at future commencements. Annnd…The price! A gown, tam, and hood can cost several hundred dollars, but I got this set for under $100. My family, consisting several doctoral degree earners/academia members, were all impressed by the craftsmanship and the cost. It’s nice, the fabric is thick, & it looks great! If you're an upcoming graduate or need this regalia for a faith-based organization, don’t hesitate – order it! This has been such a great experience for me, and I hope it will be for you too if the regalia is consistent from when I purchased it.
