The light weight of the box concerned me, but when I opened and tried the coat on, my concern vanished. The fact is, the weight of a coat does not matter if the coat is poorly designed. This coat has every possible feature that assures comfort and utility. Six Pockets. Two on the chest, zippered. Two deep cargo pockets below the waist with buttoned security flaps. Two side pockets for your hands. The main zipper slides very smoothly, and extends all the way to the chin, keeping the neck cozy. Covering the main zipper is a flap, fastened by large, easy to use buttons. They also are black, which I prefer to bright gold which can look a bit goofy. Soft black fleece lining, Very long sleeves - this is most important as I have long arms. The faux fur is attractive and designed so as not to obstruct side vision, as many coats do. I'm male, 5'9", 170 lbs and a Large fits pretty good. I might consider it a bit big if it were a Spring Jacket, but a Winter Coat needs some extra room inside for layering. True to size. I’m 5’9”, 180 lbs and got a medium. Just enough room to wear a sports coat under it comfortably. Shoulders fit well and looks much more expensive than it is. Haven’t worn it yet but seems to be well made. No zipper issues. Very versatile since you can remove the hood.

I live in Cambridge, MA (basically Boston). This coat has kept me decently warn in below 20°F weather. From looking and feeling the coat, you would think it costs more than $50 ~ 60. I do like the faux fur on the hood, but keep in mind that it is not as fluffy as it looks in the product picture and also not as fluffy and neat as those on high-end coats like The North Face. It comes in the package all crumpled up, but see my picture to take a look at what you can achieve by soaking in water followed by brushing and drying it. You can also detatch the faux fur as well as the hood itself (both attached via zippers) if you don't want the fur or don't want the hood. What I like about this coat is that there is no velcro, because I dislike velcro getting caught on something and damaging it. I like keeping my phone inside one of the chest zipper pockets. There are also pockets to put your hands in near the bottom of the coat, although I will say that the opening is on the smaller side so you might need to do a little shoving to get the sleeve part near your hands in there as well. Dont expect this coat to be like a $200+ name brand coat, but it definitely gets the job done. ... show more

Excellent quality especially for the price. Extremely warm and comfortable. Thick enough to hold up in negative temps but still gives you movement to do anything (like cutting wood in negative temps). The only thing I have found negative is it's not water proof

The wenven parka jacket is great however I will be exchanging it from a medium to a large. Fit is tight at the tummy will be ordering a large. Husband is 5’9” and weighs 155 but has a slight tummy above the pelvic area. Hope this helps future buyers. I have changed hubbys size to xtra large a 55.5 chest The medium I bought is a 48” chest The large only 4” more is a 52 “ inch chest So, I have purchased the Xtra large in a wine color the site calls red ... show more

Jacket is good thickness and inside is soft. Mild complaints, the faux fur is not soft due to dye used or material; however, I think it would be softer over time, or with a gentle washing. I like that I can separate faux fur from the hood, and hood can be removed to from the jacket. I would suggest maybe water proofing in a wetter climate.
