This tracker functions as advertised. When first activated one must be patient with the device updating its firmware. The mobile application (Android) works well and this is what to use to access all the features of the tracker. The web interface is a bit less convenient. The accuracy is good and the application displays a "radius" around the approximate location of the tracker. There are rare instances where the tracker will report a "false" reading that is impossibly far from the previous reading only the return to the "true" location on the next position report. HINT: Activate the "Superlive" function for one minute and the tracker will "fine tune" the reported position. I have not experienced any issues with battery life. Since my cat comes home in the evening, I am in the habit of charging the device daily. I use a "Top Paw" size "XS" dog collar to hang the tracker on my cat. Nylon, strong, reliable fastener, and not "breakaway". The unit is on the "large size" for a cat (2 ounces including my collar and an identification tag). My cat is undisturbed by the unit and scales fences while wearing it. His shoulder muscles appear to be larger after walking 2-5 miles a day with a weight around his neck! One important item to note: You must be in an area that has reliable cell phone coverage. In a suburban area, the tracker will 99.9% of the time have a connection. In rural areas, particularly those with only one cell provider (and distant cell towers), the tracker will disconnect and reconnect depending on cell reception. (My cat travels with me and I have used the tracker in urban Nebraska, rural Nebraska, and rural Wisconsin.) My three month trial (thank you Weenect!) is almost up and I will be purchasing a subscription. Unrelated to the function of the tracker: I purchased a tracker after a "Good Samaritan" turned my cat in to the Humane Society ($35.00 to get him back!). I also placed a custom tag (available on Amazon) with his name and my phone number on his collar. If you don't want to put your phone number on it, then get a Google Voice number and forward it to your phone. Then you know someone is calling about your cat. Mine says, "Morris Hotline". :-)

So disappointed. Where to even start. We got this because our other tracker (Pawfit) was ok but we wanted to see if others might be a bit better in terms of position accuracy, frequency of location updates, etc. This is not the one you want. 1. It took 3 tries over the course of multiple hours to initially get it connected, over the course of multiple hours. 2. The subscription fees are already higher than comparable apps, and on top of that half the features require a 'premium' subscription which you have to buy separately. 3. You have to entirely unclip the device from the collar to charge it because of the attachment method they chose, for no good reason. Which you'll have to do often, because 4. The battery life is awful. My cat spends most of the day in the "low battery usage" power saving zone we set up and only wanders a small part of the day, and it still barely lasts long enough for the one day. If your cat roams or you miss one night charging, youre SOL. Their website claims 7 days battery life, it's barely 1. Pawfit claims less but realistically lasts 3-4 days on a charge and you don't have to unclip it. 5. The app is trash. Poor translations from French, with some bits still in French. Not easy to use and every time you tap any feature it shows a full screen ad for their stupid premium subscription that would give you the enhanced version of that feature, no way to prevent it literally every time you use it. 6. Half tracker issue, half app issue - the sound it plays is very jarring and shrill, like an old school telephone. My poor cat looked distraught as we were training him to recall when it played, it's right in his ear!! The pawfit tracker is plenty loud enough and is more of a beep than a jangle, so he doesn't seem to mind it but still comes running. For the app side, whenever you activate the sound, it makes you choose one of very few options from 1 to 30 seconds, with no way stop except to wait out the timer. So if our cat is far away, we'd have to keep turning on the 30 second one over and over until he came, and if he's close, he gets home in 5 seconds and then has to deal with loud ringing for 25 seconds (and so do we). Pawfit just turns it on and keeps going until you hit stop or 10 minutes have elapsed, whichever comes first. This is clearly a solved problem, no idea why they tried to reinvent it. Also the feedback when you start the sound from the app says "the sound has been turned off" immediately, and sometimes that's accurate (never makes a sound at all until you try turning it on again) and sometimes is not (it's actively ringing) so if he's far enough that we can't hear it we have no way to know if it worked. 7. The device is a stupid shape - long and thin. Gravity pulls it down in front of our cat's neck so it's this thick bar that presses against his neck because the attachment for it makes it lie flat against the collar. The Pawfit is more square shaped and only attaches to the collar in the middle, so it doesn't compress the front of the cat's throat. Again, solved problem, why do it this stupid way?? 8. There's no way to share the position/app data with other people except for signing up for notifications (which are incessant and unhelful) so if multiple people in your house want to track the cat, you all have to use the same account/email/password. Not insurmountable but stupid. There are other issues too but this is just what's top of mind after using it for a few days. It sucks. Do not buy it. I can't say Pawfit is perfect but at least it doesn't have the issues listed above so we're going back to that and this is going in the trash where it belongs.

I think the Weenect would work for someone who lives in an urban area, but we live in a more rural area so it would only ping my cat’s location maybe 2x in a day. I tried using it for 5 days, even had a friend down the road take it to her house and place it on a settee on her porch. It finally updated to her location the next day! It repeatedly gave me the message “Off GSM network.” From the seller’s description I thought it would connect to the best cellular network (Verizon is pretty good in our area) but apparently that’s not the case. Also, although the Verizon cell signal works inside our house, the Weenect didn’t work at all inside so it makes me think if a cat was lost & hiding under a shed or locked inside someone’s garage, it wouldn’t be found with the Weenect. I was also repeatedly directed to restart the tracker which would not be possible if my pet was lost! Also battery life was ok if I turned off GPS tracking, but once it was turned on & I tried to find my cat outside on its daily wandering, the battery declined such that it appeared it would die in about 24 hours. I gave it 2 stars bc the app works well and the customer service was excellent. This was so disappointing as we’ve had our cat & my mom’s cat go missing in the past and we thought this would give us peace of mind. For now we will continue using the Apple AirTag which isn’t ideal bc we have to walk around to get within Bluetooth range, but for us it works better than the Weenect.

Our family absolutely loves this GPS tracker for our adventurous cat! It gives us peace of mind knowing we can find him whenever he's out exploring the neighborhood, without having to follow his every move. One of our favorite features is the built-in light—it’s perfect for nighttime safety. We can easily spot him if he’s hiding in the yard or under a bush after dark. The ringer feature has been surprisingly helpful, too. When it’s time for him to come home, a quick buzz or chime is usually enough to get her attention and remind him it’s dinner time—a handy tool for any cat parent! We use the 10-minute location update setting, which has been perfect for us. It maximizes battery life, so we aren’t constantly recharging the device, and it still provides a reliable location when we actually need to find him. For our needs, we don’t need a second-by-second trail; just knowing roughly where he is when it’s important is exactly what we wanted. size is decent. My cats don’t mind it at all. I do like the app but it’s not theee best, it’s sometimes not too accurate but I like the light feature and sound feature so when my cats lose it, I can find it easily and if I I can’t find them but they are close, I’ll play the sound. So it’s not precise unfortunately. I highly recommend using power saver mode for extending battery life or it drains super fast. Only takes less than 2 hours to charge fully. Overall, I like it. Don’t use collar that comes with it, it’s not a safety collar so if they are outdoors they can get snagged on something and not be able to get free. So safety release cat collar a must. Overall, I was weary of getting this brand, but ChatGPT recommended it so I got it. Not a bad buy at all. Highly recommend

Never connected to the network despite going through all the steps. It just kept blinking green/red. Never “found” connection. Did it outside. Inside. Restarted. Vibrated. Turned on and off again. Waited for 30 minutes 3 times. UPDATE: retried it after recharging overnight. It took about 20 minutes to connect to server but finally connected. It tracks ok, but then takes a while to refresh with location of the cat. I think there are some “dead” Service areas where it just doesn’t send the signal well. I’ll try it again

Please don’t buy this!! It literally will not stay connected and it dies in less than 24hours even on power saving mode. I’m still working on getting a refund for the 3 year subscription. Like it could be ok if these weren’t horrible issues. When I say it doesn’t stay connected like I mean it has only worked got it should maybe 5 minutes of the time my cat has been outside over the past week and we live in a busy area so it’s not for lack of service. Such a waste of money

Pretty cool so far checking my curious cat outside .. It’s good for a house cat that likes to roam outside. Battery life is pretty good he was outside for 2 hours i think The drawback is you have a monthly subscription.. i went Ahead and paid for the yearly which was around $100
