This cape was absolutely perfect for outdoors. I wore this for New Year's Eve to a party at area 15 in Las Vegas. It rained all night long and was in the upper 40s. This cape kept me warm and the hood kept my hair dry and on point. I had ordered some other capes but they were just too thin or the velvet ones felt like they were cheap Halloween costumes. This one rocked. I really loved this cape and will use it for many years to come. It looks expensive and I received many compliments on it.

Worth it. Bought it for a my winter wedding in New England, kept me warm and dry in the rain. It is not water proof, but worked well enough for a few outside photos and moving between buildings and cars. Did great in accenting photos, would get again in another color.

A Lovely Costume or Accessory Piece, High Quality For Weddings Or Photo Shoots

This is a beautiful cape, nice heavy poly satin and the fur lining is very nice quality. I ordered the 55 inch length and the sizing was very generous. I am a plus size person (approx. size 28/30) and while I wasn't able to fully wrap this around me I was able to wear it and it looked great in the photo tests I used it in (it will be in a photo shoot later this year). I think the muff could be a little bigger, but it will be a nice little accent for people who want to use it. The lining on the cape is a plain white, also high quality - not that cheap slinky poly fabric that I often see, but something much nicer. At $80, this cape is a bit of an investment, but it is a high quality piece that has some really beautiful attention to detail, so I don't think you will be disappointed. Be sure to review all of the pictures as some of the colors aren't represented very well (I initially ordered the Light Champagne, but it was much more peach in color than the cool-toned brown champagne it appears in the main picture, so I had to exchange for another color) but overall I was very satisfied with this item and with the quality compared to the price. Would recommend.

IT'S NOT IVORY

I took off one star for one reason: The ivory IS NOT IVORY. The "ivory" cloak I ordered was definitely pink. It was still pretty though and I didn't have time to return it and get a new one before my Ren Faire. It made for a funny story to share with my customers and fellow vendors. My husband described the color as "salmon," and a few others described it as pink and blush. I'm obsessed with finding the perfect cape, so these are all the factors I look for: Drag - It did drag a bit. I'm five foot one and didn't wear a poofy dress. Mainly it dragged on uneven ground and my event was muddy, so it did get mud on the fur lining. I want to note that only the fur dragged in the mud, though, and it was mainly the front where you might lose some length when you use your arms. Clasp - This one has a ribbon to tie it shut, which I'm usually not a fan of, but this ribbon did not come untied at all even when I stepped on the fabric and moved around. This was a long event from 10-6 for two days, and I walked around and sat and handled products and cash all day. I also didn't even double knot it, so it was very good. The tie also doesn't hang down into what you're working on, since it was pretty short. Hood - The hood had such an elegant look. The first day I wore a knit hat all day and the hood stayed perfectly in place over the hat, not swallowing my head uninvited or falling off. The second day I didn't wear a hat and the hood fell down a lot. Fur Lining - I was confused by the picture as to whether the inside was all fur. It is not. The inside is the same material as the outside, but a white color. The fur doesn't shed a lot so far. Color - PINK, also has a pretty shine to the material. Warmth - I wouldn't call this warm, but it does have some amount of weight to it. Imagine your cotton baby blanket. It's about that warm to wrap around you, and it's not really water resistant. The fur isn't itchy though, so that's a plus. On a 40-50F day in the rain, I wore two shirts, leggings, a skirt, fall coat, gloves, knit hat, and warm scarf under this. It was still a bit chilly. Care - The label says to dry clean, but I didn't have time to do so before my event. My dryer has a steaming function so I used that. The hand warmer needed to be dried after the steam cycle but the cloak itself didn't. Not all the wrinkles came out either, but that may not be a problem with this item but my dryer. After the first day the fur was muddy so I washed the whole thing on a delicates cycle. It did not get clean so I washed on bulky and it got pretty much clean. I dried it on bulky and it got dry. the second day, I washed it on a cold bedding cycle and it got clean. The fur did start to get a little scrunched/matty, though, like the fur of an old stuffed animal. Overall Look - Amazing! I got asked for a photo at an event for the first time ever.

BEAUTIFUL

This was a gorgeous piece for my wedding. It helped me keep warm and had given me a “beauty and the beast” moment as it snowed on my day. It was a thick but soft silky material. I do recommend steaming the caps before use because of the packing.

Warm, pretty and lots of compliments but a tad bit long (50")

I bought this for my Christmas office party themed "Winter Wonderland". I got so many compliments on it and it was perfect. It was a cold and rainy night (Cold being 45-50 here in Texas) and it kept me warm and dry. I did get the shorter option of the 2 and it was STILL a little long for my 5'2" self so did have to walk around holding it up a couple of inches when walking outside to keep it from getting wet and muddy. It would have been perfect for a shorter person who may wear heels (I don't) but if you wear flats, it may hang on the ground a little. I love it though and will wear it again when it gets cool again outside and we dress up to go somewhere. The color was perfect as I also wore a royal blue dress.

Gorgeous!!

This cape is absolutely gorgeous!! Our outdoor micro-wedding was planned for January 19th in Michigan. When I saw the forecast for 12°, I jumped on and ordered the cape. It arrived as promised. It was a little wrinkled, so I threw in the dryer with a damp towel and it came out perfect -- and warm (a trick I repeated before I stepped outside for my wedding)!! It photographed beautifully and I've received numerous comments about how lovely it was and how magical it looked on me. I wore it out to dinner and drinks and folks were wowed by it. I'm almost 5'5" and ordered the 50" which was perfect! Can't recommend this enough!!
