I have had pommel bags in the past, but they always crowded my legs. These bags are just a little smaller than most, but I am able to carry a bottle of water, snacks, horse treats, as well as emergency medical and tack repair supplies. What makes this design different from the rest is the center part that goes over the horn is angled instead of straight which holds the bags forward in front of the saddle so they do not interfere with my legs at all. The rings on the front tie to the saddle so they don't flap around when trotting or loping. Several of my friends had them so I thought I would give them a try and I'm so glad I did. Material is a little thin, but the velcro holds nicely. I have a trail riding business, and have one of these on every saddle except mine. I like something with a zipper secured pocket which this does not have. But these are cheap, and you can quickly put your phone in velcro it down.

These were supposed to be LEATHER!!!! When I bought them it said leather, after delivery it changed to leather/canvas. Well let me tell you these are nothing close to leather. Not worth the money
