I’ve tried a ton of different cinches without any luck. My mare kept getting galled. I finally tried this mohair cinch, as I used this kind years ago (I’m talking 50 years) and never had an issue. Voila! Success!! I’m happy and so is my mare. Just because folks say it’s “new and approved” doesn’t make it so! Sometimes they had it right in the first place and this is one of those times. I love this girth for my cinchy mare. She is cinchy because of an I’ll-fitting saddle from a previous owner. After massage and a better saddle fit, she was still defensive. She is much more comfortable with this girth and doesn’t react to being cinched anymore.

I have a nice mohair girth ( another brand and 2 in. longer) but it did stretch a bit which was ok but a bit long for my horse so I thought I would try a 28 in. I have erosive osteoarthritis in my hands and was lured in by the roll snug buckle. It works better than I expected and I never have to ask for help to tack up which I had to do quite routinely.
