The mats are sturdy and the color is accurate but don't fit as precise and snug as the advertising would lead you to believe. I purchased just the front set in grey. They came scuffed with two thin one inch long gouges on one of them. Also, the "WeatherTech" logo was glued in place very crooked on one of them. I realize that they are just floor mats, but for the purchase price of $133+tax+shipping for 2 FLOOR MATS, one should expect a 100% quality product. So i have husky liners in my f350 and wasn't really happy with them. So when i had to buy some mats for my wifes 4th gen 4runner i went with weathertech. And i'm really happy! These fit the driver side GREAT, the passenger side- they fit OK. could use some improvement but we'll see how they do. The drive side came with the perfect clips to keep the floor mats from moving forward and getting jammed up on the pedals like the prius. Would recommend and i'll be buying the rear mats as well. ... show more

I paid the extra price for WeatherTech to ensure a custom fit and get the high side walls that capture the winter slop. This is my second set of front mats and I have not been disappointed. The only caveat is that unless you keep them pristine, the lighter colored mats (grey & tan) will show ground in dirt over time that will not come out with soap and water. I have also purchased the cargo mat for a previous 4runner I owned but I can't use it in this one because it has the rear collapsible shelf and the mat doesn't fit very well. ... show more

    • Poor Fit, Holes For Pegs Leak Into Carpet

For the high price, I expected high quality, including a perfect drop-in fit, quality materials, and perfectly executed design and manufacturing. The WeatherTech floor mats were thinner than I expected. I'd purchased a pair of thick heavy duty generic floor mats for my Tacoma for $14 at a membership warehouse many years ago and they were better in every way... including the fit even though they were generic floor mats. In addition to the thin material that seemed a bit cheap and caused the edges to curl a bit and not fit well, the shape was close to what was needed to fit my 2005 4Runner but it wasn't a precise fit. The fit was better than most generic floor mats but not as precise as I'd expect for custom model-specific fitted floor mats. I was also very disappointed to see that each floor mat has a hole where a peg can be used to secure the floor mat to prevent it from moving. Precisely fitted heavy duty floor liners wouldn't move because the sides, front and back would lock the floor liner in place. These floor mats don't fit that precisely, but the peg is a poor solution that I'm not using. In WeatherTech's defense, there were problems with floor mats sliding forward and jamming foot controls, and this was deemed to be a safety issue and recalls were initiated. Some government regulator probably requires a hole for the peg that doesn't really help, but why is there a hole on the passenger floor mat? I guess WeatherTech sells in markets that have right hand drive? The useless holes act as drain holes for the floor liners, so any muddy water will drain into the carpet. I need to 3D print plugs that I can silicone into these holes, but they aren't round holes. They wouldn't make it that easy to find a rubber plug. The holes are a weird rounded triangle. For the price, I shouldn't need to modify these floor mats to plug drain holes that leak muddy water into the carpet. That's inexcusable. I also bought the WeatherTech cargo liner, and it was even flimsier, more poorly fitted, and design flawed. I love the concept of very expensive, high quality, perfectly custom fitted floor mats and cargo liners. WeatherTech got the "very expensive" part right. The rest? Not so much. ... show more
