You know how we all used to joke about particle board furniture being “cardboard” we’ll joke no more because these shelves are legitimately made out of cardboard, I can indent them with my fingernails the corners are all smooshed and curved from minor pressure. They are held together by wooden pegs and DOUBLE SIDED TAPE! Yes you heard that right, tape lol. Even with me using 6 screws in them instead of pegs as you can tell by the picture it still won’t hold together as the screws won’t grip onto the cardboard. We purchased these months ago and they’ve literally been sitting in square pieces under my son’s bed since then because they instantly fell apart. I’ve never felt more angry about a purchase in my life than these shelves. Selling them should be criminal. ... show more

Lovely goes with my theme perfectly only problem is one of the pegs went all the way through and we had to screw a piece to make it stable but other than that is amazing

This is a decent little stand. It did the job I needed it to, to store some albums. It is not the sturdiest, so I would not trust it to hold anything too heavy. But, if you're looking for something inexpensive for light storage purposes it works fine.

Exactly as described ... easy to assemble, light, but still strong. Several of the "bad" reviews included pictures of their disaster ... each was being used sideways, NOT vertical as instructed. When used properly they do not fall apart! Sure, they are not fine furniture, but in my situation, I needed album storage in my library where affordability was my goal. OK first off, clearly from the construction this is a vertical only shelf. The people who used it sideways and had it bust, that's on you. With that said, it's still not a very high quality product, and certainly nowhere near worth $55. $15 would be a fair price point on this, considering its quality is as that of a Walmart bookshelf, which is about what one of those costs. The double sided tape would be fine if the dowels were longer, but they only protrude into the adjoining piece about 1/3 in. which gives it very little lateral stability. If someone bumps into it, I feel it would be at serious risk of falling apart. It is really easy to put together, but that is probably one of its downfalls. I would rather have had to take an extra 5 min. assembly time to get a quality product with screws and some extra stability. My other complaint is ergonomic related. Some legs or something to get it off the ground would be a nice touch. The bottom square is not viewing and back friendly haha. Would have gone 4 stars if this product was appropriately priced, but at $55 it widely misses its rational price point. ... show more

    • Read the description! They are made out of cardboard and held together by double sided tape!

Maybe the joke is on me because I didn’t read the description reading that they are made out of cardboard….they are held together with small wooden pegs and double sided 3M tape! I built it with good faith thinking they would hold together and it feel apart immediately! I ended up keeping them because of the sizes I needed for a specific area but had to reinforce them with some Gorilla Glue, Black Ducktape, and trim that tan along the edges. The price is outrageous for cardboard material that needed to be reinforced with another $15 of materials. I know that the Olympics beds were made of cardboard so it’s kind of a trendy thing right now, but know what you are getting into. Also because they are cardboard some If mine had bent edges or were a little warped making it even harder to get them to stick together. ... show more

For those who find this item wobbly..take a hair dryer on low setting and gently heat the tape - not scorch it..before sticking the pieces together. Then wait an hour. You're good to go! Sturdy as can be
