I ordered this to put in the back of my side-by-side UTV we use o the farm. It's duty is to carry enough water to apply to newly planted treason our orchard, and to some newly established rows of berry bushes. I also plan on keeping it filled with fresh water when we have storms approaching that may taketh power out at our well. The bag is extremely tough, with heavy duty materials and robust seams. The hardware seems to be very high quality, with a nice valve and spigot. The size and shape allows me to carry plenty of water in the bed of my UTV, while collapsing and folding up for easy storage when not in use. If you need a handy water storage tank, this one is a great option. It could stow away easily in campers, and even be carried in by back pack and take up less than one cubic foot empty. Add a Sawyer filter and your off-grid water supply is in good shape. These are great for the homestead, or for anyone needing a convenient way to store fairly large amounts of water.

As another reviewer also posted, the instructions that came with this were almost unreadable. Not that there is much to this and you will need them. It's essentially a large plastic bag that holds 100 gallons of water. As you can see in my pic, it comes folded up and fairly compact. To use, open it up and fill with water. Attaching to outlet valve is pretty straightforward, although you will need two pair of slip joint pliers or very large vice grips to secure it tightly. I keep several months of dried food in case of emergency, and this will add to my piece of mind. HOWEVER... keep in mind where you put this to fill it. 100 gallons of water will weight 800lbs! That's the better part of half a ton. Unless you have a forklift handy, and can get to this huge bag, once you fill it, it's not moving until you empty most of the water from it. Also, be careful where you place it. You are fine on a concrete basement floor, or an outdoor shed floor perhaps, but there are many places that would strain under 800lbs of weight! I also agree that the first time you use it, fill it with a mild bleach solution to kill any bacteria that may be present from the factory. If storing for long periods of time, especially if it will be stored where the temperature exceeds 70-80 degrees, be sure and add the correct amount of bleach at the right concentration to your water. A very tiny amount will not harm humans and will keep the bad bugs if any from flourishing! Even so, in the unlikely event that I will be using that water for drinking, I will treat it first after taking it from this bag.

We got this to use primarily as an emergency water supply during storms or service outages. We've previously stored water in a bathtub but being open to kids or animals has obvious drawbacks. This would also be useful when camping or in remote areas. Handy in a pickup bed in deer camp... The material appears durable and the seams are robust. I would NOT suggest using the handles to reposition the bag when more than even slightly filled, of course. I rigged up a hose assembly for draining/using the water as I still intend to set the bag in the tub, but the outflow valve on the bottom would be difficult to use, obviously. The included fittings will get you 80% of the way there if you configure something similar.

Because it folds up and is compact, it is nice to have on hand for emergency. Too many times we've had to evacuate in Florida only to return to having limited water or water shut off. Having a large container filled with clean water BEFORE evacuation comes in handy for bathing/cleaning etc. Deduct one star: The instructions do not address cleaning it to ready for it with drinking water. In the military, we alway super chlorinate our trailered water bulls (large metal container) to ensure they are clean before filling with potable water. I don't know if I would put sodium hypochlorite (bleach) in this to ready it for drinking. But as I stated, it is great for cleaning and bathing. Nevertheless, I would put a few drops of NaOCl to keep flora growth down for a few days. The instructions are poorly translated- just my pet peeve. If selling in the US market, hire a company that accurately translates to English. Good value a small storage footprint makes this a must have for those who prepare.
