I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this watch back remover kit, especially for the price. The solid metal construction feels durable and well-machined, giving me confidence as I work on my timepieces. It effectively handled the case on my older diver watch, and the adjustable jaws secured it firmly without scratching the metal. The included assortment of dies is great for different watch sizes, and the grip on the handle is comfortable, allowing for controlled pressure. I needed to open up the case back for a vintage Rolex datejust. I was trying to use the rubber ball trick, but it wasn’t opening up for me. I was looking around for a back remover tool kit like this, but the ones that I was finding were all over 400 bucks. And that might be fine if you are a watchsmith and get a lot of different vintage watches in that need servicing, but I just have the one and I don’t open it up that regularly enough to justify that kind of cost. I picked this one up with hopes that it would be “good enough”, and I’m kind of surprised at just how good the quality is. The different adapters are well machined and surprisingly heavy. The teeth that engage with the case back are extremely well machined and slot perfectly into the caseback. I must’ve struggled for over an hour trying to get the case off with the rubber ball. With this kit, I got it off in 30 seconds flat. This kit made opening the case back super easy; it fit perfectly and there was no risk of damaging the watch itself. I only used it this one time getting the case back off and on again but based on how heavy and how well machined the pieces are I have no worries about the long-term durability. If you are struggling with “the rubber ball”, just bite the bullet and pick this up. You really can’t beat the value for the money. ... show more

This is a great little kit. It includes all the interchangeable heads I could realistically need (or at least all the ones I can think of right now), plus a proper handle — which I didn’t have before. Previously, I was using a small 1/4" extension as a crossbar to turn my opener, so this is definitely an upgrade. With a full set of heads, I shouldn’t have any issues opening standard screw-down casebacks that use this style. The construction feels solid — stainless steel throughout — and everything seems well-machined for the price point. It also comes with a decent little storage case, which is a nice touch. I don’t have to keep the bits loose in a drawer or rolling around in a tray anymore. Is it a high-end Swiss set? No. Is it a very capable and affordable solution for hobbyists or independent watch tinkerers? Absolutely. For the price, this is a nice little set that does exactly what it’s supposed to do — and it’s infinitely less expensive than a Swiss-branded alternative. TL;DR: Solid stainless construction, full set of useful heads, proper handle included, and a big upgrade from improvised tools — excellent value for the money. ... show more

So unfortunately this doesn't fit any of the watches I own. I got it for review a little quick and didn't see that it was a specific type of back case and even though I do own more watches than I should 😂, I don't have any that need this type of removal tool. I got it because one of my favorite watches had a back that was completely stuck and I ended up having to use epoxy and a socket to remove it. This would have certainly done the job for any watches with the matching back design. The kit is very nice and high quality. It comes with multiple heads to fit all different sizes of watch. It is extremely easy to use and the quick change is a nice touch. The handle quality is excellent and the overall build quality is great. It is an excellent german made watch tool for anyone needing this design. I will give it to a local jeweler when the 6 months is up. For now it just sits on my dresser. Excellent quality product, but make sure you will need this design before purchasing. ... show more
